This is an overview of the Watchla App for Telsa. It gives you pretty much full control over your Tesla from your AppleWatch. It even helps you to easily use SIri to control your car.

I have this too. Previously I had connectivity issues. However after the addition of Bluetooth connectivity it's more robust. Highly recommend this app. It's one of the cheaper apps too.

Yeah, the price was a big selling factor for me. I also use Tessie, but that's $90 per year subscription. This being a once off payment was a good selling point for me.

Well done Lee. Another great demo. Watchla seems the best Tesla Apple Watch app to get.

Thanks Martin, I also use an App called Tessie, which I will also do a video for, but it's a bit more involved so may take a bit of time to do that one. Also there are advantages to both apps for different reasons. Glad you found the video helpful. ☺️

Thanks Kenny, very glad to you found it helpful. After making the video, I decided to use the app to setup my watch as another bluetooth key. Even though in the video I thought it wouldn't use it that often it is actually useful sometimes. For example when I want to quickly go outside and get something from the car. I can now leave my phone on my desk and have my watch be the device the unlocks the car. Hope you find it as useful as I have. ☺️

Using the Bluetooth function you can unlock the car when it asks for the keycard by simply tapping the Tesla icon on your watch…. (For me the most useful function 😉)

Hi Lee, great video and have been watching a lot of your stuff before my new MYLR arrives in a couple of weeks 😊. Is it safe to sign in with your Tesla credentials? How do you create a token please? Look forward to your next video. I am in the UK 🇬🇧 😀
@notacarguy_au
@notacarguy_au 7 месяцев назад
Hi, good question. I don't remember how to create a token, but I Googled it and that's how I found out how to do it. ☺️ In regards to how safe, or not it may be to sign in with you credentials, I think it's up to you to decide. I know that seems like a bit of a cop out, but here we are. ☺️ Where possible I use the token and where not in some instances I will sign in. Having said that I would also highly recommend you use MFA on every account that supports it. There is always that balance between security and convenience. 🤷🏻 Hope you enjoy your Model Y as much as we are when it arrives. ☺️

With the Open door function, will it open ALL DOORS regardless of whether on the Tesla System you only allow driver side to be unlocked?
@notacarguy_au
@notacarguy_au Год назад
I don't know, I'll have to check. But I think it does. I know when I've gone to the car with my son, we both get in and he's opening his door at the back. But I will have to double check to confirm. I think also that may be a setting that you can set in the car itself?

I just bought an apple watch for my dad (cellular).. Can this app function as a 'phone as key' without the phone? (im not an apple user) ...as in, just walk up to the car whilst wearing the apple watch, it unlocks, you start it, without touching anything?
@notacarguy_au

I believe that if you turn on the bluetooth function and connect it to the car as a key then it should work like that.
