@@FordBossMe I will be using this car more. Took my ST in to get it fixed from the roof rattle. Do you recommend I put an additive while I fill up or should I put a higher octane? I turned my car on at least a couple of days a week. I would rarely move it though. It’s leaking water for sure. Its a good amount though. If I can guess it’s about 2 drops per second. Its not colored and its not coolant.
I've been freaking out about my old mercedes. It has a light smoke and usually a lot of water that comes out. After watching I realized that that car barely gets driven and was sitting for years. Definitely makes me feel more comfortable thank you
Thank you much Braddah for giving me some sense of direction, I been working on cars and changing parts out for some time now. Just worry when this happens. My van has no stink or sweet smell from the liquid. Smells totally clean. 🤙🏽
A byproduct of any hydrocarbon combustion is water vapor, the more the better as it signals a better burn of fuel and proper emissions system operation
Thanks for detailed explanation, I have Honda Amaze 2013 model Diesel Car and black water (with carbon) coming out from exhaust in winter. Is it normal? I have started by car for around 20 mins today, but no negative indicator. I am not driving from some days and only starting to check it.
2006 4.8l silverado, automatic: it drips constantly from both tailpipe and the weephole in the muffler. I mean from about 5 min after cranking til 5 after i turn it off. Doesnt matter the temperature outside, the distance of trip or how aggressively I drive. Is this bad or just mean i have a good engine?
Water is a byproduct of combustion. That's why people who drive short trips should either drive a little farther to the store or change their oil more frequently. You have to get the oil hot enough that moisture will evaporate or it won't matter what kind of oil is in your crankcase you'll have varnish and sludge buildup. As far as modern fuel, it's corrosive and dry compared to what it was pre-ethanol. Ethanol in your gas is fine if your vehicle or engine is going to run it fairly soon. In the winter I'll buy no ethanol for the small engines and I dump some seafoam or something like that in fuel all year round.
My 2010 F150 drips almost like it's a Hydrogen powered vehicle. Is rust going to be a issue? I know they manifold bolts are tricky on these is there anything I can do to to prolong the life of the manifolds & bolts?
One day I couldn't get up my driveway since the engine kept on staling. In my Focus the catalytic converter had been corroded loose inside and clogged the flow. This was due to too much short distance driving so it seems a lot of water must have collected inside. The car was mostly parked in dry parking garage.
Thank you mine is a Mercedes-Benz small car and I saw water dripping I called my brother I was up set.. He said it's cold just let it run and he asked if it was a big puddle I said no but only about one serving big spoon he said let it run for about 40 mins I did and it did stop I HEARD you and that was a second opinion so thank you so much I was very relieved.. But I have one more question please.. My car is a 230 slk Kompressor 1999 and it's manual and when I put into gear any gear I hear like a almost like a whizzing sound I heard that with the window down is that normal.. Could you please answer ASAP PLEASE
My car is running very rich and a lot of black residue on the pipe tip plus its a lot of water coming out it even shoots it out not just drips. Any ideas? Thanks and God bless.
Thanks for the informative video. I was just looking at a used Honda Jazz/Fit to buy which seemed to have a lot of water coming out the exhaust. I just don't know how to tell whether it was "excessive". It wasn't just a bit of water dripping from the exhaust but rather it was blowing out like a light rain shower, even after idling for several minutes. I could hold my hand 10-15 cm away and I would have water blowing on to me like light rain. It was a hot day for what it's worth. No smoke coming out of the exhaust though. Does this sound normal still or potentially worrying?
Thank u so much for this video it made me feel a little better lol. I have a 2000 Honda civic DX 141k miles with this condensation issue with water trapped in my muffler where it seems pretty excessive leaking from what appears to be a small hole or a possible leak jus before the muffler and it drips a lot. When at idle the muffler noise sounds almost like a flutter because of the trapped water inside and sprays leaving water stains about a foot away when I give it alittle gas. it makes me nervous but the car runs great idles fine . I checked the water doesn’t smell like gas or anything at all. the water color looks slightly dirty. Current weather conditions in upstate NY are 20 degrees so that’s the issue I’m sure but it seems so much I’m nervous lol. Can I drill a small hole in my muffler and then jus plug it with some high heat sealer or can I stick a hose in there and get it out with a pump?
So I also have another video in my library let me try to find it for you where I show you there's already holes in the exhaust system naturally for draining water and it does make that fluttering sound you're talking about that's absolutely normal
I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 s it was so much water coming out and the white smoke never goes away but the coolant and oil doesn't look milky at all
I have a 2014 Honda Accord with 59xxxx miles After 20 sec of starting my car, the exhaust Tip collects water and that’s when it starts to throw out thin white smoke But after I dive it, the smoke complete goes away. This smoke is very noticeable even on sunny days!!! And It doesnt lose oil or coolant…
I started having a leak from the middle between the front tires then I noticed water and a little bit of smoke from the muffler and a strong exhaust smell but qould clear after 3 or 4 minutes. It literally left a trail out of my driveway is that something to worry about
Thank you very much for that information it's good to know it's well appreciated...thumbs up.... what's a sweet smell I believe I know what you're talking about I've smelled it from other cars.... what's that from ???
I have a 212 predator engine on my golf cart I haven’t ran it for about a week and it was very cold outside so I took it about a mile away and back and when I got back my muffler was dripping a lot of water and it almost look like my muffler or the inside of my muffler was on fire it just kept smoking even after I took it off but nothing was coming out of the engine and the engine was running good and has clean oil don’t know what this problem will be
Hmmm 🤔 I'm having blue smoke and puddles of water but if I drive it let's say 30 mins the smoke lightens up alot more even less smoke if I'm being a lead foot smokes the most at idle and sitting in the car just stinks 😩 06 Chevy HHR LT auto trans???? Also my t/c light kicks on if I go from park to low gear without even driving it but my t/c light don't come on in any other gears but low gear
Dude my eco boost had like thick black residue on the tailpipe. So i kinda knew it was a lean or rich problem. So i just changed the coilpacks and now i get water droplets. Something i hadn’t seen. Check for residue on the tailpipe. Ignition system needs servicing
Residue doesn't always mean that it's rich or lean because just getting in and out of the throttle kind of hard will reaching it up and you got to realize these things burn oil like crazy so that's going to be there eventually
I leave in an apartment and I have 3 vehicles which are parked beside each other. Every morning I'll notice a trail of water running down on the ground from the exhaust but no one else's cars have that problem. I just bought a brand new 2022 and I saw the samething. These cars had been sitting in the parking lot at night with everyone else's car. The ground will be dry with everyone else's cars but the ground where my vehicles are parked will be wet where the exhausts are. Why is that when everyone else's is dry? Is someone running my cars while I'm not aware at night?
If you see condensation coming from your vehicles that is a healthy normal vehicle just like a dog's nose when it's wet you know they feel good and they're pretty healthy the same thing with your car
@@FordBossMe So that's normal even if they haven't been driven? I thought it would stay dry? Or could be condensation from the morning dew? And Thank you for replying!
What if it’s very warm outside, will you still see water? What if your engine is heated and you notice the water when you arrive at your destination after the vehicle is shut off?
What about a new 2021 Ford Ranger dripping water from the edges of the Bulky part of the muffler? Mine is dripping from both edges of the muffler bulk near the weld seams but I'm not sure it's a planned drip point.
