I'm glad to hear you comment about using ultramarine blue when painting the sky. It just doesn't work for me either. I do prefer the cobalt and cerulean blues. I enjoy the harbors and boats as subject matter (a big reason why we decided to move to Florida). Therefore I very much enjoy your videos. A big plus for me is that your videos are cast at real time!

Looking forward to Vietnam and Thailand, I took up painting to do boats and seascapes but pretty much do anything.

You make it look so easy but I know I will have trouble with the boats. It i si easy to make them look wonky! :)

Love these loose paintings - much harder to do than it looks! Do you do many paintings that you don't like? I try to paint every day, and as with everything, some days are better than others. How do you not get discouraged when you have off days? Today I painted the same picture three times, as I wasn't happy with it! Still not!

The drawing section at the beginning should have been more precise as you stated it was step by step. A good tutorial let down by the lack of a detailed step by step as was stated in the title. Shame. But thank you for your tutorials which I do enjoy.
