►About the Game -
Wayward Harbor is a first-person horror game. Where you use a handheld mirror to escape from a terror revealing itself of the deeps of the ocean.
Haunted by a seemingly unstoppable force, you discover that your only way to survive is by using a family heirloom mirror which reveals a menacing threat. Explore through a dense environment and solve obstacles that lay in your way from escape.
FROM THE TEAM
Wayward Harbor was created by 5 students from Howest, Digital Arts and Entertainment, And one composer from Artesis Plantijn University. This game was the result of the final year course, Group Projects.

This is very polished besides the monster not being able to manage stairs. The sounds are on point, the screech got me! The ambiance. I hope they make more!

I loved this! The monster was creepy and unique, environment looked very good, sounds were great, very well done! I would have loved to have a bit more story or lore about that whole thing, why is the creature there, why is mum's mirror able to see it, ... Thank you for playing this, Chris!

The monster design could use a little polish. Too humanoid and the reddish-brown color doesn't make it look like a pelagic monstrosity from beyond the depths of sanity. It sure as hell *sounds* like one though, which makes me wonder if this is a placeholder or Plan B of some kind. The game also has me jonesing for a bit more story. Who are you, why do you live in an oversized shack in the middle of nowhere? Why do you have your mother's magic mirror stashed in the attic? Tantalizing questions. All in all, a short, sweet, and suspenseful horror experience that is stunningly well done for such a tiny team. Hope these folks get the opportunity to spin this into something bigger!

A game from Belgian students, yay! I don't have much to add to Chris' conclusion : the creatures's AI could indeed be tinkered with a bit, apart from that, it's a neat little game.

CJU, I've been watching you since 2017 religiously. I wish I could tell you the story as to how I found your channel but it would take too long. Anyway I never played horror games and point and click games until I started watching your channel. You do exactly everything right. Your gameplay is spot on and Commentary is f×××ing hilarious. What an awesome little game. The monster was super unique, the sound design was very creepy. They even added idle animation to the hand that's holding the mirror. Incredible polish for such a short experience.

I'm assuming these students aced this course. This was imaginative, polished, and sensibly short with maximum effort spent on getting things right. I would have liked more lore, but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's apparently logical to escape deep ocean monster by geting a boat and venture to the ocean :) Nevertheless I really liked the atmosphere and the monster.

I loved the picture of H.P.L. in the house. The sounds were fantastic: the creature sounds were terrifying and the fly sounds were gross. I wish this was going to be a full game!

i wish there was a game where there are options where you can just jump over the fence by stacking crates or planks instead of going look for the key/crank to open the gate or smash the windows and jump over to get out instead of trying to get a key, it will make the gaming experience better when there are multiple options to get around.

STUPID IDEA the game should basically be like a magic mirror that's like a look glass style that you just hold somewhat like a magnifying glass exposing the darkness and the creatures, so you can play it in the right way in the right front point of view!
