The other team isn't even there to try to get the offensive rebound. Need I say more? Getting defensive rebounds is a given these days, not anything to be proud of, especially when the rest of your teammates form a perimeter to make sure you, and you only, can get that rebound. I'm talking of course, once again, of LeBron James. A player whose stats become more meaningless by the day.
Just watch the footage and see for yourselves. All taken from the recent Lakers Grizzlies game.
Here are a few of my other videos on rebounding.

I’ve stopped debating for the most part. I’ve realized that if they didn’t watch MJ play in real time there isn’t any way to really appreciate how good he was. Secondly, no matter what you’re probably not going to change anyone’s mind. 3rd. A lot of ppl today don’t even watch the games. They look at stat sheets or maybe watch the highlights. Which doesn’t give you a sense of how anyone plays good or bad. So now I’m content knowing that I personally know how great MJ was. I got to experience watching in real time. I got to see how popular he really was long before social media. I got to see what an example he was to anyone who wanted to play. How he brought people into the game. And how EVERYONE wanted to be like Mike. I see a lot today who want to be like Steph. Kd. LBJ. Kyrie. Etc. And there isn’t anything wrong with that but it’s not like it was when Mike was playing. Also the tendencies I see them pick up aren’t the good ones. With Mike everyone wanted to fly and do the unthinkable. Have the fade away. How they carried themselves. Etc. With LBJ I see ppl flopping. Arguing that they didn’t travel when they really did. Play that no help help defense. Get tapped and lay on the ground as if they died. Not run back on defense or stay down at the other end during an offensive set. It’s all bad behaviors. It’s very unfortunate.

Literally guarding almost nobody then grabbing the easiest rebounds you’ll ever see. That same 24 win Grizzlies team is top 5 in three pointers attempted both per game and totals wise, while also being dead last in team 3 pt percentage in the entire NBA. 99% of teams in this league now have no sense of identity or a distinct style to them. But at least Westbrook was busting his ass on a team that was overachieving because of him. LeBrons are empty stats. He somehow gets talked about as if he is the greatest team player ever, and not selfish like Jordan or Kobe. It's just nonsense. He is simply good at hiding it. Instead of iso offense he just sits in the corner, and NEVER moves off ball. He doesn't do help defense at all. And if they started calling travels on his drives to the rim he would struggle to score. And sure, other players flop. And? LeBron is supposed to be the face of the league, the king, the GOAT. This all started with Westbrook and stat padding. They at least justified it with Westbrook taking off with the ball and pressuring the defense in a way nobody else on the team could. But Lebron isn't doing that so this doesn't make sense at all. It makes more sense to give it DLo or Reaves to get it up the court before the defense could fully set. This is just pure nepotism and stat padding. Zero way to justify it.
@KobieeBryant

Naw Westbrook gives too much energy to stat pad. That was the media way to discredit what he was doing as russ said “ if it was that easy to get trip dubs everybody would do it “ Now pay attention the media don’t mention LEBRON doing it and when u debate LEBRON fans they hate to admit that’s what he has been doing even doe evidence shows LEBRON stat pads. Europe: 1 Clint Capela, 2 Rudy Gobert, 3 Domantas Sabonis, 6 Isaiah Hartenstein, 9 Ivica Zubac, 10 Jusuf Nurkic, 11 Alperen Sengun, 12 Nikola Jokic, 14 Nikola Vucevic, 17 Giannis Antetokounmpo Africa: 16 Precious Achiuwa. Great video! And this is just one of the reason why old fans like me dislike the game now, the defenses are mostly absent, they let 3 point shooter shoot as they know they will try a 3 the next play so if it goes in they are ok with that, so that's why we have this inflated scoring totals, plus they rarely battle for offensive rebouds as again they know if the opponent team try a 3 they can go back the next play to even the score, it's not as if us old heads are just more comfortable reminiscing the past eras, but is because we remember what was like to watch a real game played with heart legs and rules! On top of all this they play much less games per seasons so they even rest, but if they were so much better as athletes and in skills why do they need to rest and why their game look so lazy most of the time?

I'm convinced that the NBA and Adam Silver believe that the fans really want to see Lebron and whatever team he's playing on at the time, in the playoffs and/or finals. I'm pretty sure that the ratings would still suck even if Lebron and the Lakers are in the playoffs. I'm also convinced that Adam Silver commands the refs to make bad, questionable calls to favor Lebron and his teams when it's closer to playoff time. Thanks for the video
