I feel like this is a pretty good story but I have theories as to why they acted out. One of them is he gave them silver. A lot of supernatural creatures are not fans of silver. The other theory I have is the fact the jewelry was stolen. It probably would’ve meant more to them if the jewelry was hand made or not made out of precious metals at all but instead things like wood, clay, maybe glass beads, and such. Don’t know if they would’ve liked resin beads. Third theory is the combination of the first 2 theories. If he had placed the stolen jewelry amongst the silver, they could’ve burned while going to pick up and examine the gold jewelry.
