Today we take a look at West Midlands Police Logistics Centre aka Complete Business Solutions - NDC, Nexus Point, 3 Elliott Way, Birmingham B6 7AP.
The high security perimeter fence, double gates and CCTV coverage makes this place stand out a mile.
We quickly see WMP signs and marked vehicles and see much more with the drone.
We speak to security at the business across the road and then 2 constables arrive to have very friendly chat about the place.

Just discovered one of my neighbours got smashed up with a hit and run. Illegal motorbike on the pavement. Will the police act? No. A simple no. So instead they will get complaints. Time as well to roll out some code I wrote to submit crime reports. Lets see how they do with a thousand crime reports for just one location.

WMP Logistics property is Nexus 122 about 122k sqft including 6000 sqft office. Interior photos show just a standard open warehouse when constructed, four dock levelers added in 2017. Agent brochure dated 2018. Original distribution warehouse planning was 1992 with additional applications 1997-2000; 2002 amended for building exterior. Appears actual construction 2002-2003. Available to let in 2018 with new dock levelers added. 2020 planning application for smoking shelter, guard hut, new waste collection, and new barrier features. Council interactive map had 14 pages with the 2020 planning application number; 11 documents, Ashton Smith engineers for minor modifications. Client/applicant listed as Gleave Partnership. Chris was a fantastic example of how security or entry people should operate. Friendly, talked to you like you were human but was there to do his job. That clip should be necessary to watch during company inductions.. The police were fantastic as well, they asked questions but were informed and interacted with the general public well. Excellent audit. It's a refreshing change to see 'No' confrontations and professionals doing their work. More like this please as the confrontational footage becomes tedious. I do realise that ill-informed security guards and police officers with little situational awareness and inadequate understanding of the law are the main reason for much of the conflict. It is Razor Wire you are seeing. There is covered by different legalisation. It was made for the American military during the war they lost with Vietnam. Barbed wire is the stuff that farmers have in their fields.

Chris was brilliant, none of this “what are you doing, don’t film me” rubbish, just a nice guy willing to have a chat with a member of the public. Police were great too, they’ve got no beef at all, just chilled out, once they knew you were no threat. Love how you politely dismissed them “let’s wrap this up guys, I’m sure you’ve got better things to be doing” in other words “I’m done chatting to you two, goodbye” 😂😂😂👍🏻

Most know that, but the comms people should be assessing the call, then work out if it requires a response or not. As always it seems they are quick to send police out, to essentially a non crime as opposed to perhaps a real crime. I get the caller might exaggerate what is actually happening compared to the reality of it. That's were the call handler should be asking key questions about what is happening and work from that information.

Why didn't whoever took the call at Police Control inform the person phoning there is no law against it? 2 Grunts turned up wasting our taxes, and whoever called them may well be all too quick to pick up the phone for something equally pointless in the future? Elsewhere, our NHS is in turmoil and this country is on the bones of its arse, and yet taxpayers' money is being wasted on Grunts turning up for nothing because they have nothing better to do.

Some other blurb. They call it a workshop internally. The West Midlands Police area consists of 7 Councils of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The Authority operates 1 central workshop as follows:- Unit 3 Logistics Centre, Elliot Way, Perry Barr, B6 7AP The workshop is located outside of the Clean Air Zone, (please note bidders are responsible for any charges should you have to travel through the clean air zone for any reason) The Authority currently has a fleet of approximately 1520 vehicles which is made up of all makes and models.

Dj i guarantee this place charges the town 2x the normal cost to fix a cars headlight. If you have freedom of information id request from the pd or council a itemized list of fixes done to police vehicles within the last 6months... Im sure youll see 150£ for a headlight replacement. 75£ for a fuse replacement. Contracts like these out here in CA are how the city steals money from the public and gets a piece from the shop.
