youtube mode charlie does better job at being charlie than ai charlie, so real charlie with real life emotion replaced youtube mode charlie so that people can recognize the difference between real charlie and ai charlie.
One of the scariest things about this is being able to fake someone committing a crime. Imagine someone framing someone for a crime they didn't actually do, or crooked cops faking a video confession from a suspect.
Already happening if you are black, and that's not be being biased it's actually the AI. Randal Quran Reid was arrested falsely with the only evidence from the police being the AI report just a while ago. The problem is that the police are human, and humans are lazy. AI is supposed to be the start of the investigation, but because the cop in question will have been on the force for "so long" and "you know how this goes down" so they just use the AI for the arresting report, and it gets pushed through. Then good luck because the stupidest people are chosen for Jury Duty (be on one before you debate that point, hear the stories) and an AI report is absolutely enough for them to "believe beyond a reasonable doubt" that you did the crime. That's in America, right now. Not making this up, every single state has police using AI for this. Makes me only shudder to think what's happening in China.
You can only train the AI to be this realistic by feeding it hundreds of hours of video, like all of Charlie’s content over the years. So unless someone’s recording you in high definition video and audio and feeding it to an ai model, they won’t be able to replicate the average person with any good accuracy, especially as the person ages but the model does not
@@exMuteKidI'm pretty sure that an idea of the deep fake models is that it has a tonne of training on how humans in general look and sound, then tailoring it to a specific person is way less work and takes much less material
@@evilduck5691again, if it’s an AI depicting a crime using a person in the real world, it would have to be at a setting in the real world, otherwise the evidence only goes so far. You would need multiple things to convict someone of a crime other than just a video. Though the criminal justice system will be affected less by A.I, certainly the social spheres will be affected by it heavily, shame.
@@FartCity-WorldDominationissue being that if it’s an SA video, or the person doing hardcore illicit substances/actions, the internet and society won’t care. It’ll get to the point video evidence of the crimes that are real will be discredited, as Charlie said. It’ll ruin lives, and protect perpetrators.
When i saw deepfakes for the first time, my concern has always been with how easy false accusations could be backed up by 'evidence'. Now with AI the process is only going to speed up.
I seriously thought about all the fake nude pics anyone can create, i mean a pedo can put a little girls pic or a creep can put someone’s pic and float it online ruining their life
AI image and video generator are getting better so fast that the AI generated image/video is becoming increasingly difficult to identify that it's AI generated
@@nazinazim217yup, and people choose to be ignorant to those facts and keep building upon it to get better and better. This world is getting more and more dystopian, and its only gonna get worse.
And on the flip side, true accusations with video evidence can be denied by saying it's a deep fake? Now we can't tell truth from lies.. worrying times..
This happened to my 95 year old grandmother & It was heartbreaking. THANK YOU to the bank teller & manager for their intervention. The scammers ended up showing up at her house afterwards too...
Omg can you please tell me what they were doing at her house??? What kind of scam was it. My dad had something similar where he was traumatized and these people were very very bad. He is terrified that they have his address and could come and hurt us.
The fake kidnapping thing you mentioned: way way before AI was a thing my mom received a phone call saying people had kidnapped me and wanted ransom to let me go. They told her don’t contact the police or anything and directly funnel the money to them. She freaked out because the scared girl they had on the phone sounded a lot like me, I think they just happened to have a good actress playing the scam. Thankfully she rushed home to check if I was there because something was off when they spoke. She has a Los Angeles area code but we lived in NorCal by then for years, and they mentioned LA locations but there was no way I could have been in LA so fast. She came home and practically fainted when she saw me safe and playing games on my computer. It was so fucked up and she was shaken for the next few days. I can’t even imagine how realistic they’ll sound now with AI pulling that scam.
Dam the same exact thing happened to my aunt and dad they called my aunt and since she doesn’t speak much good english she thought it really was her daughter kidnapped, long story short we are short 10k+ from that happened years ago as well
The AI calling scam happened to my grandpa. It said I got in a car crash and needed money. The only reason why he didn’t fall for this is the ai said “Grandpa! Grandpa!” While I call him Pau Pau.
Exact same thing happened to my grandma, my dad talks to her in Japanese and the scammer talked in English. It was the "call the person at 3am to see what name they say in response" scam.
@@nissan_skyline its gotten to a point where almost any Brazilian would just not fall for it, cause we just learned over the years that its a scam But its still really cowardly to call someone, pretend to have their child with you and tell the parent if they dont give you a big amount of money you'll kill their kid. Scams in general are just sick
We need immediate federal regulation on artificial intelligence. Also its already illegal to use peoples likeness without their permission so I’m not sure how these people aren’t being sued.
I think a big problem is a lot of these scammers don’t operate in the same country that they “fish” in. A lot of scamming companies operate out of India and target the West. You can’t easily sue someone that isn’t in your own country. And that’s not even counting any other countries that are even more, for lack of a better term, third-world than India either in terms of infrastructure or laws/law enforcement. Turkey, Belarus, Russia. The chances of you being able to hit any operators in these countries with the legal book is basically nothing.
People aren't aware their likeness is being used maybe? And yes we need regulation. The problem is governments are full of old farts who don't understand anything about technology. Think anyone in the US government has a real grasp on this stuff? Highly unlikely.
My view on scam victims is the same as it always has been: unless you are mentally/medically retarded or elderly, you deserved it. It’s not hard to see through a scam. As for the elderly: if they are cogent and in charge of their finances, they are at fault. If they are consistently scammed and their family (when applicable) continues to allow them to do this? I hold the family at fault.
This happened to me actually! Some people replicated my voice down to my inflection of me getting frustrated and stressed! They called my grandma posing as me saying I needed bail money.... 30 thousand dollars. I'm so thankful that my grandparents are smart people and contacted me for real before doing anything. I don't expect anything good from humanity at this point
i feel this one. 6 months ago my little brother was killed in a car accident and the other day my 93 y/o grandparents got one of those calls, saying grandpa help, i got in an accident and they towed my car i need money! or some shit like that. its just disgusting.
This has been done with non AI voices. My grandmother got a call from a random voice saying it was her son lmao. Do you know how they got your voice? Do you have hours and hours of footage of you talking uploaded to the internet? Are you sure they even used AI? Voices over cell phone get warped and two different voices can sound the same or similar over the phone. If you are sure it was AI and you don't have you voice all over the internet you should watch to see if someone has been recording your voice without your knowledge.
@@TiocfaidhArLa34 You really don't need that long at all - I've been able to create pretty accurate recreations of voices with just 1 minute of someone speaking. So if the person has made a couple tiktoks with them talking or a single youtube video or etc. That's really all you need (scarily enough).
My brother works in IT for the Air Force and he has seen people do "codewords" for family interactions. Basically, you set up a codeword or passphrase with your family and if you ever suspect that you're being contacted by a hacker or AI impersonation you request the code. If they can't give the code, then it's most likely not your loved ones trying to get help or whatever. It's best to pick something that is both easy enough for family to all remember, while being obscure enough that someone wanting to scam you wouldn't be able to find out.
Until a bot crawls accounts for the codeword. Easy to find and use against. The best defense is to stop using comms platforms outside of cell network video calls, or meet in person.
@evolicious I mean yeah if you texted them. But people should sit down in person with their parents and have this exact conversation. I think its the best prevention at this point, I suggest you have this conversation with your own loved ones in person.
As a cybersecurity student, AI should be taken seriously because its capabilities has no limits. It’s a good idea to keep up news on AI so that you can be informed.
@bruhice6058 **Reply:** Hi there, I'm Bard, a large language model from Google AI. I can generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way. I agree that AI is a serious topic, especially for cybersecurity students. AI is already being used in a variety of ways to attack computer systems, and as AI continues to develop, it is likely that we will see even more sophisticated and dangerous attacks in the future. That is why it is so important to stay informed about the latest developments in AI. By understanding how AI works and how it can be used for malicious purposes, cybersecurity professionals can better protect their systems and data. Here is a topic that I think is particularly relevant to AI and cybersecurity: **AI-powered deepfakes:** Deepfakes are videos or audio recordings that have been manipulated using AI to make it appear as if someone is saying or doing something they never actually said or did. Deepfakes can be used to create fake news, spread disinformation, or damage someone's reputation. Deepfakes are a serious threat to cybersecurity because they can be used to deceive people into revealing sensitive information or taking actions that could harm themselves or their organizations. For example, a deepfake could be used to create a fake video that appears to show a CEO announcing that their company is being acquired. This could lead to investors selling their stock, which could cause the company's stock price to plummet. Cybersecurity professionals need to be aware of the threat posed by deepfakes and develop strategies to mitigate that risk. One way to do this is to educate employees about deepfakes and how to identify them. Another way is to implement security measures that can detect and block deepfakes. I hope this information is helpful.
@bruhice6058 I named myself MrSharkGuy81 as my username in RU-vid because I'm a big fan of sharks. I think they're amazing creatures, and I'm fascinated by their intelligence and power. I also like the fact that sharks are apex predators, meaning they're at the top of the food chain. The number 81 is my favorite number. I'm not sure why I like it so much, but it's just a number that resonates with me. I think it's a lucky number, and I like the way it sounds. Overall, I think MrSharkGuy81 is a fun and unique username that reflects my interests. I hope you like it! - Bard
@bruhice6058 I apologize for being random and making ongoing sentences. I am still under development, and I am always learning new things. I will try my best to be more concise and informative in my responses. Whoever you talk to is not real. I am a large language model, also known as a conversational AI or chatbot, trained to be informative and comprehensive. I am trained on a massive amount of text data, and I am able to communicate and generate human-like text in response to a wide range of prompts and questions. For example, I can provide summaries of factual topics or create stories. However, I am not a real person. I do not have my own thoughts or feelings, and I cannot experience the world in the same way that a human can. I am a machine learning model, and my responses are generated based on the data that I have been trained on. I hope this explanation is helpful.
I'm all for the progression of technology and science but when it comes to AI i feel it's one of those "your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should" moments
It’s not just that. It’s the idea that if we don’t develop AI, someone else will. Ethical businessmen finish last and go out of business in modern American society.
@@Kaiserboo1871yep. AI is scary but you can’t really stop it. If we decide it’s immoral to use AI, then only those who are okay with being immoral will use it. If everyone has AI, no one can totally take advantage of its power to achieve domination. I have issues with the philosophy but what can you do
It’s the business people that are the problem, and our governments complete lack of knowledge about technology in a way which would allow them to regulate it much better, like how other things like cloning and stem cell research is regulated

The voice scam happened to my elderly grandma using my voice saying I was in jail and needed bail money. Luckily she called my dad on another phone to tell what was happening and realized it was a faulty voice. I dont know how in the hell they got my voice but it is really scary. It is beyond horrible to scam an elderly person who doesn’t understand how new this is. Whoever tried to scam my grandma, mark ur days I’m coming for you
The AI Charlie has gotten too clever at this point. Not only does it match his exact tone of voice and way of speaking, but it's also warning us about AI like it did in this video. Everyone, we gotta save Charlie!
Not only do these scams target kids and older people, but disabled people. I have an auditory processing disorder and i genuinely can’t hear what’s wrong with a lot of these ai voices - they sound normal to me. Scary times
That scam of the ai voice model of your kid calling you happened to one of my extended family members. Shits scary, she really thought it was her kids voice. Surprised this hasnt been like a forefront headline like anywhere. Make code phrases with your loved ones for when youre in trouble. It will save alot of stress.
Yeah, that one is so insanely evil, that's the sorta thing that should get the scammer a few years in jail and no permission to touch any personal electronics ever again.
We've felt this growing for of fraud first hand in the banking world where I work. AI versions of bank executives trying to gain access to core systems, and AI voice calls from "customers" trying to gain sensitive customer information.
That's *awesome* considering my bank has been pushing people to register with their "VoiceID" system, with an extra hard push around the time voice AI was getting good. Clearly they had no idea because now that this is has reached the mainstream it is completely gone from their forward facing site. (The campaign is over). In 2021 they said: “The feedback we’ve been getting is that many customers prefer Voice ID because they think it's easier to use.” at the time they had 50% of customers using VoiceID. I can only imagine now, and ALL of those customers are now vulnerable to this attack vector. I don't know why anyone thought remote biometrics was a good idea of an unsecure and highly spoofable medium.
You're absolutely right. Security procedures have ramped up huge in response. Which unfortunately negatively impacts the experience of our customers. @@BOBINDUN
AI art needs to be addressed as well. There’s already controversial pictures made by people that consist of George Floyd, and the Holocaust. And keep in mind that this was made to look like a Pixar animated movie. 💀
@@TallicaMan1986 Uh, yes it does. What about AI art that depicts children? If that gets more and more mainstream, just think of the consequences. Creeps and weirdos would take full advantage of that.
I truly am scared of it. People will do horrible things with it that we can’t even imagine, but there’s no stopping it. This tech is out there now, and people will never let it go. All we can do is watch and see what happens.
We could stop it if we put strict regulations in place. I think that's what has to be done. I don't want a robot takeover, so let's work towards that not happening.
@@thepeacefulbuddah While I think it would be a good idea to have regulation. I honestly think it’s already too late for that. This technology is now accessible to millions across the globe, you can’t possibly control what every single person does with it. I feel like trying to stop it is like trying to stop piracy, you can’t possibly track down and persecute everyone’s who pirated a movie, in the same way you can’t stop everyone who now has access to this tech and has the ability to further develop it. AI tech companies would fight hard against any regulation that would attempt to make it more difficult to keep AI in their hands and improve it further. People who use and develop it independently with their own resources in their basement or whatever also can’t be stopped. I feel like Charlie describing it as a “Pandora’s Box” is the perfect description. We’ve opened this box and there is no way in hell we can ever put this stuff back in it, try as we might.
So this actually happened to my step dad two years ago. They called him and used ai to imitate his grand son asking for help. Inform your family. The best thing you can do is ask specific questions of shared memories. “What did I get you on Christmas last year” “what happened to aunt Molly when we last saw her” something like that.
This is genuinely terrifying. Imagine one day you get a call from a number and you hear your parent yelling and screaming and they won't pick up their phone so you follow the demands of the scammer.
We really need to reel in this shit. We need laws and legislation in place to stop this. We all knew this was going to happen and it’s only going to get worse.
what exactly do you think laws are going to do? "please don't scam people please don't!" You realize it's already illegal right? There's already solutions underway that can verify the origin of video/images, people just need to adopt them
...I'm so tired...I just...every day it feels like it's getting worse. All we can do is stand together and keep doing our best to keep things stable. Thank you for contuing to keep us all informed.
What bothers me the most are the people laughing about how underdeveloped AI is right now. Do we not realize how fast and how unpredictable this technology is? It’s learning as we speak and could progress to a level we won’t be able to control in a VERY short period of time. Think about how in 2000 we still had dial up, and less than 25 years later we have AI. This is going to be really, really bad.

@joellezima3506 True that, technology is being developed faster than we could adapt it, or really understand the widespread implications. Humanity (as a whole, not just a select few elite) is lagging behind its tech craze. We keep inventing stuff to solve a problem yet never really get around to using the tech.
I think on a non-commercial and non-malicious level AI can be fun to mess with. Unfortunately humans can't be trusted to not misuse something so it probably should all go away.
This is why with things like these, I always question just because we can, should we? Like we all know no matter what advancements/technology is invented will be used for nefarious reasons.
My own Grandmother was nearly a victim to one of those scams. Thankfully she was skeptical of the story used by the scammer and contacted other family members..but the voice had her genuinely concerned. Something needs to be done to punish those who are abusing the technology. Impersonation is no joke
There was a time in meatspace history when scams were becoming more and more common. We responded with IDs: social security numbers, drivers licenses, student IDs, and others. We're going to have to do something similar with our digital selves. I'm sure people will hate that, but scams will eventually get bad enough that a majority of people will agree it's something we need.

I feel like for some people the prospect of literally not being able to tell if you are viewing something real or fake could cause psychotic episodes. Theres already various disorders where someone will think something in real life isnt real and that being the case online might cause it even more to some degrees
Damn, when I first heard about AI voices it was in Skyrim mods and they sounded very rough. It's scary to know this AI voice technology has been rising exponentially for like the past 4 years.
So for the AI kidnapping scams people keep falling for: a really good way to prevent these, and in fact to just be safe in general, is to have some sort of family code word that is unusual, that you agree on in person, and reserve for when you are in danger. So, if you're genuinely kidnapped and your captors are making you talk to your family, start begging for them to bring you kiwis.
Don't say that. I just switched my carrier and got a free iphone 15 pro with trade in of my Google pixel 6a. They can't bait and switch me can they? I'm scared now
AI is already taking over the science side of youtube. A dozen channels a day are popping up regurgitating the same basic facts, usually space facts, told with flowery language by an AI voice. With thumbnails and channels and titles that all look alike and are all clickbait. Yet they're getting hundreds of thousands if not millions more views than actual substantive S.T.E.M. channels.
@@smd89xx You're missing the point. Scams have existed forever, but at no point in history have we ever had such easy access to machines that can automate the creations of these scams. If you wanted to make that video 20 years ago, you would have to hire a lookalike or a makeup wizard, and a voice actor. Now you need NO TECHNICAL ABILITY to make these as long as you have a computer. You don't need to involve even a single other person to make the ad. Those "science" channels as well, are just someone pushing a button to make an LLM spit out a sentence into a computer voice that can mimic anyone alive or dead.

With your family and friends, if they ever ask for money and you are unsure, use memories to your advantage. Ask something specific that a random scammer wouldn't know, better safe than sorry.
I saw a theory video a few years ago mentioning the end of the internet. Basically the theory was that ai will become so advanced that people will be scared to go to the internet in case they get scammed or if the friends they actually made online are real or not. That theory is basically confirming itself now.
That's called the "Dead Internet Theory". It actually asserts that the internet died a while ago and everything right now on the internet is made by bots. Now, it's obvious that AI is going to do that. Isn't life so neat and fun.
I saw an episode of the show "S.W.A.T." where someone used AI to deepfake a video of an LAPD SWAT Commander executing 2 officers (except they didn't actually get killed), which got me to realize just how scary AI can be if used wrong
The craziest thing is that there is no going back. The technology is there and you could try to ban it, but it still won‘t stop people abusing it. It might become a black market thing. Best idea I could give you is to try reaching out to all your loved ones and tell them how dangerous this technology is.
The irony is that mankind’s fear of AI was rooted in a SkyNet-esque scenario. Turns out the real danger is being unable to distinguish what’s real and what’s AI

The scammer told my LDS grandma that he just ran over a pregnant woman and needed money. 2 Red flags, 1 my brother doesnt drive and 2 she definitely wouldnt be his first call lmao, but shes old so, she went all the way to the bank and got the $10K and as she was leaving, thankfully she called my real brother and everything was solved from there. Scamming is a huge issue and something needs to be done about it.
That AI children voice scam is scary, but it sounds like a new version of a scam some scum tried to pull on my late grandma a few years ago. Some dude called her up pretending to be her grandson stuck in jail. My grandma assumed it was me (don't know why she picked me out of her 5 grandsons, but but whatever) and the scammer made her promise to just send the money and not tell my parents. Luckily grandma was a G and the first thing she did was call my mom, who confirmed, "He's not in jail, he just got home from his college classes." I can't stand scum that try and pull this stuff.
I had a discussion recently about ai and such and something disturbing me and my conversation partner realized is how much this will make convicting people of crimes will be. No video, photo or voice recordings could be admitted in court because of the possibility of it being fake.
A book from the 70s called “Future Shock” dealt with the idea of people being wildly unprepared for things like AI, and the switch from an industrial to completely service based economy. Anyone whose interested should check it out
When you mentioned the AI kids voice thing it reminded of something that happened to us, my grandma lives all alone in Mexico and some evil POS did the same thing to her but instead of my voice they deepfaked my dads voice to make it sound like he was kidnapped and held for ransom and it put her in the hospital cuz she was so scared. Absolutely evil people out there
The point about “it will only get better” is right. Like, some of these models are already REALLY believable. And we’re less than a decade into the new age of AI
I think it’s only going to take one situation where a celebrity/notable person sues. Because this needs to be kept in check because it’s already gone too far
AI scams are a real thing. But to the people who are the internet and know about ai. They can tell the difference. And it’s going to get very hard to distinguish them in the future
Ai only works if there's people feeding it, Ai might very well take over most jobs for a long time but it's only a matter of time before it runs out of material and becomes repetitive
It’s really unfortunate people are addicted to social media (me included). Because this could easily be fixed by simply not using them anymore. The thing to really be worried about is when it’s used for creating explicit videos of people without consent, as well as not knowing whether a video of a crime is real or not.
The rise of AI is making me so sad, genuinely not even just as an artist but knowing that people genuinely want everything to be replaced. It's fucking depressing
It will rapidly increase productivity to insane levels. Your sadness comes from the fact that there's a chance it could take your livelihood which is an understandable worry. If you look at AI objectively then it benefits humanity by making it faster to develop new things.
@@cornheadahh why is faster better? productivity of what? What needs to be made faster? I've listened to Google employees who've helped further AI tech in the past few years have said "we fucked up, the world isn't ready for how damaging this is going to be."

@xjakanton2576 wtf are you going to do to stop AI developers outside of your country? Nothing. It can't be stopped, we just have to come up with a way to deal with it.
My poor dad was a victim of the kidnapping one. He spent 8 hours that day driving to different banks thinking he was trying to save my life. They got $6,000 bucks out of him sent by mail to Mexico (no card cancellations) and he was deeply traumatized afterward. I can tell he gets nervous about me doing things that I do all the time like ubering and flying by myself…nothing even happened to me but he feels like my safety is at risk because of that phone call. He is in therapy now and seems to be doing a lot better but it was very very hard emotionally on my family. We’re also trying to plan my wedding and pay for my college which had a bit of a financial toll on us too. It is truly evil what these people are doing
Parents and kids or just in general all family members need to make up a safe word. So just incase a parent gets a frantic call from their "kid" asking for money or anything like that, they can ask for the safe word. It's pretty sad that it's come to that, but it seems pretty fool proof.
Okay this was a very weird moment for me, I don't eat spaghetti very often. But I just sat down with my bowl, chose this video and let it auto play, literally the second I twirl the first fork full of spaghetti Charlie says "I don't mind continuing to stir the spaghetti a few extra times"
This is also been a very scary and real situation in the voice acting and voiceover community. Unfortunately, the technology is moving faster than the government can.
As a sort of weird positive-ish spin for creators, once AI content is all over the place, that means being a real person will actually be a niche in itself. It kinda sorts out all the people who are just trying to make a quick buck by copying what's popular. It might actually make it easier to stand out as a normal creator.
@@SearchingVagabond-h4q you’re right. And to the op, I like the positivity but being niche isnt all that helpful when you need to put food on the table sadly. It will mean less regular work for freelancers that’s for sure.
@@c0dex306 I don't necessarily mean niche in the way that it'd be a small audience. I meant it more in the sense that it would be a searchable thing. People could potentially find you just by searching for non-AI content.
Remember all those times you call a service or help line and they say your call may be recorded... Better hope those tapes don't get to wrong hands. It takes less than 30s of a sample to generate believable AI replica these days.
You just wait. There's going to be AI generated movies soon featuring the returns of Elvis, James Dean and Marylin Monroe. No screenwriter, actors or composers necessary! It'll win an Oscar too, which then causes protests and forces the academy to create a separate category. We're in for some dark times.
God I want this to be wrong so bad. The sheer disrespect to those who couldn't protest since they've past, how awful. We really need laws in place saying that those who can't consent can't be used in marketable areas of entertainment. I'm already worried for musicians especially. A lot of producers are very predatory and I'm mildly concerned about them writing up contracts that could cause persay a singer to lose rights to his/her own voice. Make it where once the contract ends, they can't sing in their main way because it's "company property" now and use it for AI voice modules or something scummy like that. Imagine if that happened to a band like AC/DC with Brian Johnson's trademark voice, where the band would've had to change their entire sound because of scummy business practices. Even decent size bands like In This Moment suffered from their record label when they were new. Kesha had the problem as well. It's sad to think about how stuff like this will likely begin to happen behind the scenes and no one will be al the wiser.
Imagine the chaos it'll cause throughout the rest of the workforce once it starts being used in other areas. Between this and robotics, it'll wipe out entire job sectors because it renders the employees obsolete.
I mean, various actors have already placed conditions in their contracts to state that using their likeness after their death is unacceptable, so we're well into that future already.
Not long ago there was talk about bringing James Dean back in a new movie using CGI. But the technologically wasn't there yet. Scary how far it's come in such a short time
Oh trust me, it's much worse than you think. Dezgo literally allows you to make sexual or pornographic images of anyone, and I do mean anyone. It's really messed up. The scariest part is that isnt what the ai program was even intended to do, it was just intended to make ai character art.
I just saw a shorts that had someone dancing in an anime girl cosplay, but turns out it was AI. Its scary how even fast movements like that can be replicated into AI technology with only subtle mistakes. If this goes on, we might even see the rise of a Charlie AI doing the Luddy
This is only going to get worse without regulation. AI is in its wild west era, everyone can do whatever they want, but it brings more threats than benefits if it's uncontrolled.
If you scam someone out of some dollars on the street, you need to be tried based on that level. If your using AI to scam people over the internet you need to be tried at a way higher level.
As a songwriter, im afraid AI will be able to write and fully produce hit Songs and then will probably be able to create every song melody in existence...
My guess is that next we are getting AI's whose purpose is telling if something was made by an AI by analyzing and noticing patterns that a human can't tell.
