I like that weight shift thing ! As a former baseball, tennis player … the weight shift approach is much more intuitive, easier … that what I WANT to do. The other way, constantly battling my intuition. Now, the pressure thing … do it right and you do make reliable contact if you do it right. Then again, your a contorted pretzel using pressure shift and trying to get distance. I guess you use the technique that’s best for the situation… like a batter .. you don’t swing the same way for everything, despite urban myth.

I wish I had started playing as a youngster instead of coming to the game as a relatively strong 28 year old. I would undertand how to use my body weight to gain the most distance rather than muscling it into the trees. Thank you for the information.

I've definitely lost a lot of power and distance trying to pressure shift only and rotating in place, works fine for 100 yards and in but not for sending driver! I also struggle to keep my head behind the ball through impact with the pressure shift.
