Hmm..2 important features; dual pickup shoe springs and even better, adjustable motor brush tension. Impressive considering it's AutoWorld. HCS, BSRT and Super Tires. All top notch parts and the front tires from Specialty Plastics are very, very nice. Have 3 different sizes from them and they are fantastic. 1 is pretty large designed for stock Tyco widepan and the other 2 are designed more for X2 narrow but can be used in many applications. Top quality silicone and absolutely beautiful. Tough enough to stretch over wheels much larger than the tire ID without tearing. They do pick up dirt and dust like a magnet. Different "hardness" available for different types of track too.
Hi Marc…..great video glad to see Autoworld corrected the gear issues on the super III…gonna check around and pick one up…always fun getting a new slot car….thanks Charlie
Marc, I actually hit up a Hobby Lobby last Friday in Mira Mesa. They had 3 of these NEW Super III's on the shelf. Only problem was it was 2 Mustangs and a Nascar. Not a huge fan of either of them. I almost considered buying one JUST to have a NEW Super III but I passed. I can hit up so many HL's because of my work so I am going to wait for one that I actually like. I am going to trust what you have said regarding AW fixing the problems with these. I want one for sure, I just want one that I like lol.
Great video & very informative for this newbie to the 1:64 scale slot cars. I have 2 Super iii cars & stay on the track well. I hope that I can make some adjustments to my Xtraction cars to keep them from flying off track. My grandkids like to go full throttle & the Super iii are best for them since I lower the variable pwr supply.
