I’ve learned so much from your videos and I knew what to expect when I flew up to see my best fiend of 50+ years a few days ago. He was in (at home) hospice after having emergency surgery where they discovered “extensive” colon cancer. The little time I spent with him was priceless and he even recognized me and got excited even though he couldn’t speak, I knew what he was trying to say. He passed today. Sending much love to his wife and two boys. The world has lost a good and kind man.

Julie, you are an amazing nurse, an inspiration to every nurse, and a great example for nurses' new and old. You show us the good days and the bad days. You would certainly be a good nursing instructor. In the meantime, keep doing exactly what you do, and thank you for taking us along. 🙏 😊

BTW, at the end of your video you show your "going out" look . . . Wow, what a babe! -- Elderly leukemia patient who lost 2 cousins and our grandfather to the disease. That is, I'm probably headed for your line of work.

I'm a subscriber, and I plan to watch a bunch of your videos this week for a possible transition to a new specialty. I have done hospice in a LTC setting, but never on a full-time basis. I'm guessing there's a lot more to hospice work than meets the eye- I suppose one is caring for the entire family, so it's multi-faceted. Bless your heart!

May Gods love and blessings be with you always. You help so very many people. I believe I’ll need Hospice care in my future. I’m 3rd Stage (Severe) COPD. Asthmatic, Insomnia, Sleep Apnea with Atrial Fibrillation. I’m on supplemental oxygen with four Albuterol breathing treatments a day. Rescue inhaler. Spiriva 500mgs. I have a 35 percentage of lung capacity left.

I for one can’t thank you enough for all you do. I have an aunt with Alzheimer’s that’s in Hospice care as we speak. I lost an uncle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer at home with Hospice care his treatments were of what I’ve heard you mention to as what you do with the very end of stage of life..

Miralax works well without cramping and gas. Senna is good for the same reason. Colace/docusate works well if taken regularly.
