My 04 cobra is like a new car.I haven't even cracked three thousand miles .Yes 2.950 original miles all original except for exhaust. All my friends say that I have to modify my TERMINATOR.But being so clean and stock I am leaving it alone. I already have a 850hp 08 gt500 and a 07 427 super snake convertible and a 900hp 10 grabber blue super snake.So I don't need to turn my cobra into a monster lol I have 3.

Weston Birkett It was stupid. It probably helped them a little since the bad pressure sensor and constant cranking likely flooded the engine so (when they actually did a the push-start corretly) it may have helped to pump a little gas out of the engine. The greatest success from their pushing was in entertaining everyone that actually knows how to actually get a vehicle to start from rolling it. I would have been sitting there telling them they need to go faster before he starts cranking the engine.

@@HectoesMusic i think it was the FRPS. But they already had flooded it by cranking and cranking the thing. Too much fuel in the cylinders for the car to start! They should have pulled the plugs. If it was “bad gas” it wouldn’t have started at all lol. But we’re all still learning.

there wasn't a purpose, they just kept cranking it which would have worked just fine eventually. There is a interrupts in fuel delivery, they pulled a sensor, lost pressure and probably created a bubble in the line. If they had just turned the key forwards, let the fuel pump run for a bit and possibly pulled the battery for a sec to let the ECU re-program itself all this could have been avoided. I get the feeling the owner either bought the car like this or had someone else do the work without really knowing what was happening.

If a car can crank over, then it doesn't need a push start. Tell us what good a push start will do when the car won't start from cranking it. The push start in this vid did absolutely ZERO to help the situation.

I know what your saying, but I've never seen an engine hydro with just cranking. The starter motor isn't strong enough to bend a rod. Rods are real strong!

Yeah your probably right..... that and lower compression gave a little wiggle room. The Manley rods still bend before breaking. Look at the repeated cranking or the jump starting in 3rd can give you a lot of speed to a piston that could have got it just enough I mean he had white smoke/steam at the back that could have been water in his tank also. Cars like that always attract assholes that just want to f with it or the owner. I remember catching someone writing wash me on my black Cobra at a dirt parking lot/field. I was pissed and spun up some rocks at them leaving. Karma's a bitch sometimes. I'm guessing it's ok if you look at Dude's review of Jordan's Cobra the date was the next day. You can say he got lucky or give a thumbs up at how it ran afterwards. The Terminator always did come back at them in the movies......

agreed. The smoke made me think headgasket at first... but diesel came to mind as I continued to watch. I thought the nozzles are a tad too big to fit in a gasoline filler hole, interesting.

The car was flooded. It cleared up as proof. I have heard of diesel in gas though. Bad day at the station and diesel gets put in the wrong tank. This is usually unheard of though. Seen one car that plugged the catalytic converter and diesel was present in the fuel system. Wouldn't start until the exhaust was dropped.

Corey Hebb okay guys i have a 1988 mustang gt cobra re built the engine my self i went to a gas station when to a normal pump put in 95 when to start the car was cranking but not firing so I'm like okay kept on trying it finally started i talked to the gas station owner turns out the put diesel in the wrong tanks so maybe the same thing happened here like we have bright yellow handles for diesel so how can he put it in by mistake doesn't make sense

I was thinking the same thing while watching this. the engine was flooded from them cranking on it so much! bad gas my ass. I'm surprised they didn't burn up the starter.

Typical mustang owner hater? The 4 valve 4.6 Ford motors were very new at the time and were in both the mach 1 that got hit in the video and the cobra not starting. The 2 valve was in the normal gt.

I had an 03 mach 1 and it never gave me a problem so idk what you're talking about.. Also domestic parts are a lot cheaper than imports...

My daily driver is a 96 v6 stang with 160k miles, never has failed me, everything works, and car came with a bokk full of receipts from a ford dealer for maintenance that was done as scheduled. Any car can be reliable, it's usually the owners that are idiots! Unless you get something that really is bad from the factory

Or you could risk burning it off. Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank it, that shuts off the injectors and allows the car to try and get spark to burn off the fuel without adding more, once it starts to sound like it's going to rev up you just let out of the throttle and let the car burn it off over a few minutes. Rolling start seemed to work but you did it the hard way. lol

It really was more of a learning experience. It also did an AMAZING job when I beat on it for the review only hours later.
