Butter! It’s in all of our foods but is it good for us? Well, many people think it could be but that's WRONG! It is commonly thought that butter is a great source of butyric acid, a short chain fatty acid that has “health benefits”, but the truth is that butter has very little butyric acid. On top of that, most butter comes cows that can be damaging your health. So to find out when and which butter you should be eating stay tuned because Dr. Gundry reveals everything you need to know about this household staple!

Fat deposits in places I’ve never had before. Rings of fat in my thighs. It’s basically impossible to maintain in America. I say, do your best, we’re all gonna die eventually 🤷🏻‍♀️

The argument about southern Europe is so ridiculous. People in southern France (southern Europe) eat tons of butter with their croissants and baguettes and enjoy long and happy life. So called "mediterranean diet" is actually a diet from small parts of Italy. It's being promoted by all kinds of crazy plant based advocates. The problem is, even in those parts of Italy, people eat plenty of "animal protein" in fish and pork. Guess who invented prosciutto, porchetta, capicola, mortadella, coppa, etc.... The other problem with this "lecture" is that no sources have been provided. Where was this study published? Was it an observational study or the randomized control trial? Have the confounding factors been removed? What did participants eat with that butter? White bread for example? This video has absolutely no value.

This is in reference to the olive oil commercial that came on before this podcast saying olive oil is good for the skin.... Olive oil has a disproportionate ratio of oleic oil to linoleic acid; this means that olive oil can dry out the skin and does not repair the skin barrier. Moreover, a research study in 2012 discovered that olive oil can disrupt the skin's barrier and could promote the development of and increase eczema. There are so many oils out there that are good for the skin. He needs to slow down on his olive oil fantasy.

I don't worry about fat at all. I just utilize the natural fats we always had, instead of industrial oils. So, butter and olive oil. But its actually Yoghurt and Cheese which g8ve me the bulk 9f fat. By the way, cheese contains longer chain forms of vitamin K2 from the fermentation. Perhaps that's why it's shown to be good for keeping arteries healthy. Isn't it time to mend the genetic defect in the Holstein cows so they give the A1 casein? To me it seems odd to think that butter has so much of casein that it matters.
