The air is there is much less humid, so their -40 does not feel that cold. Even the much milder winters in humid regions seem so much colder at -20 than those at -40
@@janis4356 I remember January 2019. -30s in Iowa. Nothing that was left outside worked the next day. I actually never shut my pickup truck off for a week because I knew that old mechnical non turbo diesel would not start again if I did. Bright side, it was always warm when I needed to go somewhere. Downsides, fuel costs and immediately going from being a meat popsicle in 7 layers of clothes to drowning in sweat because dammit Ford knows how to make a heater.
@@wellidk556 Far enough north where I usually see a few snows per year, and highs temps a few degrees below freezing. Even that comparatively mild winter is grueling for me.
@@jasepoag8930 I live in southern Texas and we had an insanely cold winter. -1°F windchill on near the coast! Can’t imagine what they had in north Texas and beyond
Celsius and Fahrenheit work way differently Celsius starts at freezing temperature so it would more or less be like -5 degrees or so so it ain't that bad unless wind starts knocking
They sold it not too long ago. Problem is that a Hummer H2 weighs so much that by Russian law you need to have a commercial vehicle license to drive it. The only dude in the G54 crew who has one of those is a guy named Slava (if I'm not mistaken).
@@jagaazaya2100 I really dislike seeing him high up for these dumbass comments... he always says the most basic shit, probably bc he tries to comment on all videos he sees... always a super generic, surface level ass comment. For Ex. “This is actually really cool”... like, no shit that’s why it has over a million views. I used to love going to the comments to see the top joke, the smart Alec explaining everything, the dude baiting people with his comment, the good questions, etc.. now I just see this fool and other idiotic comments🤦♂️. No hate towards this guy tho cuz he has the right to comment on every video... more towards the fools who like every comment just cuz they see him a lot. I don’t get it.
yep, sounds like a business plan: if you living in place where negative temperature holds all winter, glaze your car with special liquid and don't be scared any scratches!
That's the very first *mobile bunker* I've ever seen. And *if* a mobile bunker wouldn't be new, I'm sure, it's the first, who masks itself like a gigantic marshmallow. That's not Pink Panther, but Pink Mammoth. I like it though ... 😆😂
I used to work on water towers. We would pressure wash them before painting the outside, when it was cold you couldn't let off the trigger or the hose's would freeze instantly at the metal fittings. I am really surprised they were able to spray anything lol, I never tried to wash in negative weather. Single digit's with a slight wind chill was enough to freeze the hose instantly.
I worked at a service carwash for over 2 years in Small Town, Wisconsin. The number of people that want their car washed in rain/blizzards/sub-zero temps is just absurd. 🤯
@@dianasalazar6184 Yeah, but the point is that when you wash it in rain/snow/extreme low temps, it's pointless. Rain for obvious reasons. Snow, because you're just going back out into the salt, getting covered again by the time the car gets home. In extreme lows, water freezing in mechanical parts is never good, and can cause an accident.
@@dracul1984 me personally, don't wash in sub zero temps or when roads are snowed but I figure road salt sitting on my car is worse than cold water. Then again I live in the lower east of Wisconsin so weather may vary. Not entirely disagreeing with you, we may just be going through different situations.
@@dianasalazar6184 Yup agree, salt is no good so wash more often in the winter. Although here in northern Europe (seaside) there is so much salt in the air that a new car will rust up in a few years anyway :(
That was awesome! Not to mention I want to know what hose he has for his pressure washer! That hose stayed more flexible at -40C/F than mine does at 75F!
@@DejvmanXsindicate Haha, I know. In Australia, in high-school, they took us out on a driving course to practice manuals. Part of it NEXT TO THE RIVER on the pedestrian path lol.
-38c is completely unfathomable to me. Coldest I’ve ever experienced was -15c and it was brutal. I guess that’s what living in Siberia does to you. On the other hand, I’m guessing that +38c would probably damn near kill him whereas that would just be a warm summer day here.
I'm from south Brazil. When it's 5 celsius positive, our fireplaces are on. When it's +4 celsius we are worried about homeless people, when it hits -2 we know we are fighting to survive HAHAHAHA. Minos 40 is beyond our understanding. What are those people doing on the streets??? Even if it is less 15 or less 10 HAHAHAHA Why people are on the streets??? HAHAHAHA
That's intriguing. You'd think it being frozen would act as an insulator of some sort.... Kind of like an igloo.... The snow will melt with heat but the outside temperature keeps it frozen...
@@derekenlow7607 that’s what I’m saying like an igloo. I didn’t want to refer it to that because Russians might not know what igloo is. Maybe they do but call it something different
Blankets only work if theres a Heat Source under it...most of the time, thats your own Body Heat, getting trapped and warming the rest of you up... ...so a big blanket (whether fabric or fluffy foam) covering a Machine made out of cold steel and lifeless plastics? probly gonna be right around ambient temperature... ...now if the car was Running, with a big blanket on top, then yeah itd get nice and toasty underneath...but its just a waste of gas to wash your car with the engine running...especially if theres no one Inside the car, to need warmth xD
