Dear Dr. Gundry, I can't get enough of your podcasts and books. I read your books and listen to you on and on and I always learn or catch up something new that I've missed out. THANK YOU.
Agree with comments, it would be great if we can get an idea of what you actually eat daily. It's tough to get all of your calories in when your main staple is veggies and greens since they have essentially zero calories. At the moment I eat either fish/coleslaw or eggs/veggies as my first meal(300-500cal), nuts(200-300cals), protein+veggies cooked in different ways with sweet potatos as a side(500-600cals) and 1 fruit(citrus, kiwi, berries)
Eat more meat you must feel terrible. Friend you ARE meat so what's gonna have the nutrients for building and maintaining meat in the right ratios and amounts? Would that be a leaf sherlock? Or would that be MEAT do you think 🤔
I think it would be helpful and interesting for you to say what you eat in a day. For example, yesterday I ate 12 oz of broccoli, one large onion, 4 oz of mushrooms, 4 oz of artichoke hearts, 3/4 of an ounce of olive oil, 3 oz Parmesan cheese, six small meatballs with tomato sauce, one Atkins protein no sugar bar, one cup of coffee, a half Pat of butter, a bit of whipped cream on top. This is actually what I ate. Listing it like this seems like it's Way too much. I ate all this within 2 hours and fasted (water only) for 22 hours.
If you follow his recommendations, I dont think he recommends tomato sauce. I am subbing that out for garlic blended in a 3/4 C of corriander leaves and 1 C olive oil.
O figured out the Why as to the Mag/Cal ratio thing. Came across this in Dr. Weil's site. Summary - The ratio's established were to prevent constipation. So now I feel free to ignore these ratios with Mag. The better bonded only.
Hi Dr. Gundry. I have been following most of your recommendations as I am waiting for treatment for Chrons. Mine is mild and I have gone on a new journey eating more simple food and supplements. I know you know a lot because I lost 7 lbs very quickly this year due to malabsorption. Well in just one week of consuming goat yoghurt and wild blueberries along with major overhaul of no gluten or lecithin foods, I finally am putting on weight. I know there are people out there who wish they could look like their old selves again, have hope! It can work! I do not plan to take any drugs if I dont have to anyway. If I beat this, I will try to upload some videos about what worked. To anyone worrying about the food costs, yes some gluten free foods are very pricey! But if you get better, you are really doing yourself so many favours. I feel so much less stressed out now that some inflammation is down. God Bless
Wow, fantastic news on the weight gain! I desperately trying to maintain my body weight, and if I'm not careful, it just falls off. I lost about a stone after covid, but with Dr Gundry's help have regained over half a stone. I'm making my own goat yoghurt, is yours homemade, and if so what recipe do you recommend? I live in England, so a lot of things that Dr Gundry allows aren't too available, or are very expensive. Congrats again.
@@mog-gyveroneill2500 I actually used to try a raw goat milk and youghurt back in the states and saw very little improvements compared to organic pasturized brand here in Ontario, Canada. It is called Hewlitt and costs me about 3.89 for a weeks worth which I feel is fine. If you want to try this, I also still use chlorella which has plant protein and I do not have a reaction to it but it depends on your immune system. It literally improved my eye sight and I have the proof. Also one thing I am working on is changing the spices I cook with. It seems like chili peppers that are red affect me right away but when I cooked with green chilis from a can, just a very small amount, nothing happened if that even is possible. So maybe you can try this: I took local corriander, blended in a blender with olive oil and a clove of garlic and then cooked my vegetables in that. I used black beans per Dr. Perlmutter's recommendations. I just ordered L Glutamine from an online store and will see what happens when I start it. I would recommend making sure your Vitamin D is the right kind. For example, some are made from really strange things and you may not absorb it well. I used Natural Factors and it worked fine. But you need to take things like that with good fats so if you invest in anything, I would go with a real olive oil and not the ones that are crap BS with half olive oil and half something else. By the way, do you try to eat sweet potato or cassava? Most people should gain something from those foods because the body can take a sweet potato and use it as anything- a secret I learned from a smart Scientist friend. Your body can convert it to a protein if it needs to! Enjoy
Man, I watch one Doc who says the carnivore diet is the ultimate diet, then the next Doc says oh no, don’t eat that way, you need to eat mostly plants, then the next Doc says keto is the best diet, and I’m just getting pretty frustrated and mixed up at this point. Now I’m starting to realize that there is NO perfect diet, that when followed, will give you great health . I think this is where the one ingredient which many, many, many, people are lacking, must be added to the diet and that is common sense. Seriously, it’s not near as hard as people make it. Eat real food, not too much of any of it, but a sensible, well balanced diet. Ya know, good quality meats, the right veggies and supplements where needed, and the occasional treat. Hard to believe how difficult people are making this and completely screwing up their lives!!!
Same here! Everyone is all over the place it stinks! I guess in moderation, everything especially what your microbiomes fancy and a little of fasting, a little 🍨, a little sex, lots of exercise, lots of serotonin, a little dopamine, a little Kiffer, a little 🍖 don’t deprive, a little grasshopper, a little crypto, lots of indexes
Yeah I was excited to really hear the full day to possibly model after and really didn't get that art all. Come on Dr. G! We need a part 2 that really gives us what to follow like the title suggests. :)
Hi Dr Gundry, does decaf coffee still have the same benefits as the normal stuff? Love to hear from you, many thanks for your podcasts, etc, am just getting my head round the science of things!! Monica.
Love you Doctor G! Please keep digging on the keto for athletic fuel. My studies indicate a few-month transition to fat adaptation. Once that happens, ketones support athletic performance. I'm glad to be wrong, yet this topic may be use-case sensitive. Thanks for all that you do.
2 meals per day 230pm and 730pm,grass fed organic beef, pork, chicken, berries, nuts, greens, broccoli, no sugar, no carbs, weight bearing resistance traning 3 days a week, 30 minutes walks with the dog every day, and a daily stretching routine. That's years of guidance in a few sentences. And intermittent fasting eventually doing a 24 hour water only fast one day every 2 weeks and a cheat day every 2 weeks. And minimize processed foods from any box or can
@@hha8171 both, I like research, try to keep and open mind and preventing problems or diseases are much easier than solving problems or curing disease. And luv a carnivore diet in moderation
Also avoid totally "Seed Oils" know as vegetable oils, they are very bad for our bodies. They are also used in all manufactured dry carbohydrate packaged foods including bread because they are very cheap. Avocado, olive, coconut, walnut and a few others are good vegetable oils. The "seed oils" were marketed as vegetable oils for sales purposes only!
A few gentlemen just conducted an experiment. 500km bike ride while on a five day fast. They tracked many biomarkers and will be releasing their findings soon.
What should a college athlete concentrate on or make sure they are taking in daily. Fasting is tough with the schedule we have to maintain. We are trying to make our bodies perform at an optimal level. Any help would be awesome. Always looking for anything edge.
Dr G, we now you eat plant based during the week and some fish during the week-ends, but what about dairy? How often do you eat animal products other than meat?
Dear doctor what do you think about Koios beverage. I think it's a lot healtier than almost of the suppose énergie drink . But i did like to be sure about that. Thank you verry much. By the way your book about "the plant paradox" are really interesting, thank you
Hi Dr. G, I've just recently discovered your channel, and I'm finding your videos interesting and informative. I do have one slight criticism of this particular one, which is that you don't actually tell what you eat in a typical day. You give a lot of general guidelines or rules of thumb. But surely it wouldn't be difficult for you to give a list of the actual foods, and the quantities, that you eat? Thanks
Didn't you get his answer? Eat like a gorilla in Italy. Just kidding, I was glad to see your comment because there was no information about what to eat, besides leaves and olive oil
When you talk about fruit smoothies, are you talking about fruits and veg blended in say a nutribullet, or from juicing? I used nutribullet daily to blend mainly veg and a bit of fruit.
I like your style of analysis, though it's always buy or sell at pullback. The only remark is if you cud provide a bigger picture medium term analysis, without buy or sell signals, but just support resistant. Tks !
Hie Judith, I was going to ask the same question. He's kind of telling us what not to eat. I wanted the specifics of what he actually puts in HIS mouth and how much of it. I guess we can get an idea by reading his recipes.
I wake up and take a enzyme/ Pro Biotic. Then Guthry B12 “ Vital Reds “ then plant based protein with plant based Almond milk. 60 ounces of high PH water a day. Lunch chicken salad with Avocados. Dinner rice, chicken. I do this 80 % of the time along with exercising and running on a fast.
what about if you eat a small protein or sugar snack 30 minutes before a workout? Is that enough time to let most of your digesting work start and be done?
Hi Dr I have so many spider veins so upsetting how can I get rid of them with possibly a lotion cream etc. i dint want sclertherapy as I’ve had that done and didn’t work must be some topical Vitamins take too long must be something quicker
Dr Gundry: I’ve read all your books… really respect you and your fabulous brain, but I’m confused. insulin resistant, overweight 50 lbs, 71… wish I had a week by week or month by monthly guide.. tried to get into your office but no one returned my calls. Frustrated in San Diego. I will try to call again!
i agree. at least make a video of what you actually eat in a week to give people an idea. ive been watching your videos for a long time. veggies and what you mention are great but lets take into account calories etc for us people who are active thru the day
I'll save you all the 10 minutes here. Multi colored leaves and olive oil , in a short window during your day that you dedicate to not abstaining from food entirely. I'm not even fucking kidding... that's LITERALLY all he said, and took 10 minutes to do it.
I agree with Intermittent fasting and time restrictive eating. I have been on "one meal a day" for two years in fact but carnivores, myself included, are MUCH healthier than you doc. No offense intended but carnivores have ZERO pudge and all muscle. Maybe you should try it.
Wow, that's strict and admirable. I am wondering what you eat in a day.. I am starting on 16/8 but I've only been doing it a couple of days. You must be very advanced.
IM ON A INTERMITTENT FASTING AND KETO DIET.ITS WORKING MY WEIGHT BALLOONED TO 254lbs at 6-3 collestroal 240 I've lost weight and continue to lose.just started 2 months ago. Thanks doc
Hehe when he answers the question “what do I eat” - he starts explaining what he wants his patients to eat - just a detail, but he doesn’t actually answer the question
What’s the point of not enjoying healthy food so you can live 5y longer maybe . You still have to die it’s pointless. You have to focus your energy and life toward understanding the e distance and your relation to creator this is the whole purpose of every human being. We are blessed humans to be able to lift ourself to higher spiritual levels while animals can’t do that. This is the diffence between humans and animals. Self realization is. No need to obsess over food but we do need to watch not to eat bad stuff
Wow first time I am disappointed by Dr Gundrey. He didn’t give any specifics as to what he eats everyday. I was hoping for something like veggies, sardines, chicken, something. Disappointed
@@sabby123456789 those 30 minute walks have many good benefits but as an alternatine, the best benefit is raing your heart rate. You can choose a walker a stepper, or a total gym. Many choices
@9:14 "Eat like a Gorilla 🦍 that lives in Italy 🇮🇹!!!" Click Bait RU-vid title! 😢 Seems like a smart guy but makes me feel like he just chasing the butter. 🤑
🤔I don’t think you actually said what you eat each day… you started to, and then said what I have my patients eat each day… what window do you eat in? 6 hours, 8 hours??? I have watched your videos and it seems so hard to figure out what I can serve myself and husband for a meal.. I feel like also, I’d be really hungry
