I understand! Giving up oil was the hardest for me, but once you get a hang of it, it really makes all the difference in the world! Now days, oil tastes so bitter to me and it just messes me up!
I watch a ton of oil-free, vegan RU-vid channels, but I cannot remember a time when I wanted to make as many recipes as you have presented. Thank you so much. You are fantastic. I'm making the hearts of palm ceviche tonight and then the muffins and loaded potatoes tomorrow. I made your muffins with blueberries this morning.They were DELICIOUS!! My batter was really wet but I noticed yours was also kinda runny so I did not make any changes like adding more oats. You are right...the lemon zest really makes these taste sooo good! Thanks Manuela!!! Love your channel!!

I used to eat raw cabbage with salt all the time as a kid and loved it I totally forgot I used to eat it that way....I’ll have to try the lemon and those muffins

Thank you!! Lol!! In regards to a cookbook it is an initial thought but usually whenever I have an idea I make it into a reality ❤️ and I measure everything out before I record any videos. I do use a wide lense with my camera which I have noticed that it tends to make everything look bigger 😅

That’s too bad!! 😔 Usually a lack of eating enough carbs would cause headaches and feeling hungry. A lot of people don’t realize that you really are supposed to eat a lot more than with any other diet just because each meal is lower in calorie density since you are not using any oil or any animal product. If you are still willing to try it out a little longer you should really take a look at your food and make sure you are eating enough starch and you could also increase your fat intake while transitioning ❤️. But if not, best of luck to you and thank you for watching my stuff during your little journey. Yay!! I hope you like it!! My husband does eat whatever I make and at home he does follow my way of eating. 😊 Outside of the house he can make whatever choice he wants but the longer he eats this way at home, I often see him making more plant based choices outside of the house. He really has come a long way though than from when we first started dating lol
@@Suzie77 mine wasn't a fan of veggies either lol! I literally had to start making whole food plant based versions of his favorite meals (burgers, Crunchwraps, hot dogs, burritos, etc) to get him to start warming up to it a bit lol. Now he loved veggies and the foods! Hopefully you can eventually get your hubby to enjoy veggies too 😅
Thank you so much!! Dr. McDougall recommends just walking for about 40 minutes a day as more than enough exercise when following this way of eating. This is what I did when I first began my journey. Since then, I have gotten into a few home workouts and also stay active by hiking on weekends or riding my ebike but I never do anything extreme. I just try to move my body! lol!
Hi I just found you and I love your videos. I’ve been plant based almost 1 year and have been stuck with my last 10 pounds and cut out all the extra little things like avocados , nut butter but just had a question. Can you use bananas in this muffin recipe or will it go mushy ? Thank you for everything that you do . I love Dr McDougall and his starch solution book . M:)

Aaaahh!! you got this with the last ten pounds!!! it took me about a month to loose my last 5 lbs, but just be patient and you will get there in no time!! I haven't tried the muffins with bananas but you can probably use mashed bananas in place of the apple sauce since they both tend to do a similar job in baking. But if you are looking to just add banana chunks instead of the berries I don't think that that would be an issue. Let me know how they turn out!! And you are welcome!! Dr. McDougall is the best!! ❤️
Ooh ooh! im gonna try the orange zest WITH the lemon zest! And im gonna add a little lime zest too, just so that i can see a few spots of each of the 3 colours inside when i bite into it! (like biting into a rainbow! lol) thanks for the idea!

Here are a few resources for you 😊 : I have heard a lot of good reviews in regards to this book that is called "mastering diabetes" that promotes a high carb low fat plant based diet but it also promotes intermediate fasting. It took me about 13 months but that was with lots of trial and error at first and learning what to eat and what to avoid. If you follow the tips I give you in these series, I'm sure you could loose that kind of weight a lot faster! ❤️
Can you talk about things in breads to look out for in a video....like when I’m trying to find different breads I’m not sure what ingredients I should be avoiding
Yes! I can do that and can get in more detail on it then ❤️ in the meantime, look for breads with minimal ingredients such as whole wheat (or any other whole grain works too), water, yeast and salt. Avoid all breads that have oils and or any animal product. Ps: Usually most sourdoughs are pretty clean
