Hey Em, do you still count your calories? Just wondering if that was something that helps in your recovery :) I’m proud of you and I think you’re so inspiring!
How do you think eating the same foods and exercise has challenged the eating disorder? Because I feel like the challenge in challenging the ED and getting one’s period back is stopping those things and finding other things to focus on like weight restoring and putting back on the necessary weight for period restoration and getting to the set point weight. Currently debating whether treatment is right for me or not because as an avid exerciser and yogi I’ve been forced to stop and yes, even stretching all the time too. I now have stomach pudge and no abs but it has forced me to accept my body for how it is without manipulating it in any way. I’m curious though- because I don’t see you doing that in your videos and still running and doing all these things. How do you think that is challenging you in your recovery? And what would you advise somebody else in a position like mine, for instance?
This week I started ed recovery and am currently experiencing extreme hunger. I feel very overwhelmed knowing that I’m consuming so many calories more than I have in so long (I’ve calorie counted for so long I know the numbers for everything which doesn’t help). Do you have any advice on how to cope with extreme hunger and initial weight gain? I feel petrified of what I’m doing in the moment but know it’s for the best as deep down I want to be well. I hate these contradictory thoughts going through my mind 24/7 any help would be appreciated❤️
The only way out is through so the only advice i can give is to keep doing what your doing and honouring you ginger eventually your body will trust you again and your hunger levels will return to normal, enjoy the extreme hunger and eat all the goodies you want ❤️❤️
