Hi David, the Adios 6 and 7 really do become softer and more flexible with 50-100 km on them. The Lightstrike Eva foam is also drilled under the heel if you look under the sockliner, so with more miles it will collapse a bit and become softer!

Yes! The 6 broke in quite nicely! Right now only about 25 on my Adios 7.

I can see why some runners might feel a bit uncomfortable with the Lightstrike in the heel and I agree it's not a shoe for mellow easy runs, however, I appreciate it for its stability when I start to get sloppy on longer runs where something like for example the Endorphin Speed might get a bit wobbly. The Lightstrike Pro in the mid and forefoot makes it a very fun and speedy shoe for me too. It's a fantastic shoe for those who prefer lower stacks.

The 6 is so awesome I’m sure this is great too. No bells and whistles just a pure running shoe. Definitely the true successor to the Boston 9.

My experience with the adios 7 after almost 150k is that it needs some breaking in to soften the cushioning. Had blisters the first 50k every time I use it. Paired it with the adidas cushioned socks so at least ease it a bit but still had blisters on my soles. And now after maybe 140k of using it, the upper is already torn. Even with the adidas care instructions, my upper is already ripped. Still useable but don’t know for how long.

I got these earlier this year and its such a strong bittersweet shoe for me.. it's super light, super responsive, amazing to faster runs, but it bothers my arch of the foot.. it's such a narrow platform that it has a somewhat high arch support and for my slightly flatter feet it starts actually hurting after a while... The running sensation on them for me is so amazing tho that I'm testing doing my shorter runs (5-6km) on them and use my Hoka and Asics for the long runs. Hoping I might get used to it.

The plastic in the midsole always ruins the adidas shoes for me..the SL20.2 is pretty much the same shoe without the plastic "slap" against the bottom of my feet..

The torsion system acts like a plastic plate in function. In addition to stabilizing the shoe, it is actually great for snappy feel like nylon plate in Endorphin Speed 3. If you don't like that however take a look at Takumi Sen 8. Much more expensive shoe but can be found at 40-50% off sometimes. Full Lightstrike Pro foam and embedded energy roads (fiberglass) makes it a faster, more responsive shoe than Adios 7.

@@TolunayOrkun the Takumi Sen is my favorite of all the adidas shoes..I use it for everything from treadmill jogging to 5k racing..I haven't tried it for 10k racing,tho I use it for a daily trainer up to 6-8miles..I bought several prs when they were on sale last spring..very durable and seem to get better the more I use them..

@@brokenfreddy7676 I also bought my TS8 (Tinman edition, white w/gold) at discount mid-year at $76. On Thanksgiving eve, I bought 2 more pairs at $72 each at Adidas website (different colorways). I am happy as a clam at high water :)
