Ferdinand Rosenthal France was helped by the United Kingdom but the United States did not arrive until 1917. It was the end of the war and without them, France and UK would have won. But you’re right, victory was complicated.

France was the main force on the western front, had the allied supreme commander and was in the war longer than almost every other allied nation. I get that this is a joke but it still tilted me :(

@@YOUPIMatin123 When you're the much smaller nation and you "take the brunt" of war deaths while having a bunch of your country occupied and disfigured, and you almost certainly would have had to end the war at those lines were it not for a completely different great power coming in at the last minute, it hard to say that France 'won' that war so much as they avoided defeat by the skin of their teeth.
@@GTJIGPC imagine thinking france at the time was a small country. We were a major power. Sure the war put us in a weaker spot and created a pwer vaccum but to say france in 1918 was a small country is pure lack of knowledge.we had the best army in the world at the time. It was not disfigured, only the north part was. Our demographics were tho.
@@garyking9928 not really. A nation that doesnt exist cant pay damage. They wanted them poor. But in yhe end the germans only paid a fraction of versailles.
