These guys would really suit an f1 or even formula E entry imo. The N line is like BMW’s M line because they poached the head of M from BMW 😂 Great cars. I love type r but the i20/i30 M models are the best new performance cars I’ve had the pleasure of droving

15:16 It's actually a smart move to include LG in Hyundai N F1. They could actually become title sponsor and help Hyundai develop the hybrid system since most hybrid and EV models that Hyundai makes uses LG-made batteries.

Hyundai made the IONIC 5 electrical road car, that won "car of the year 2022". my parents own the I10 and the IONIC 5. Obviously the IONIC 5 is fantastic, but the I10 is actually pretty impressive, compared to it's price and size

@@TommoOnRU-vid in Korea itself Samsung is such a huge company it would be hard to avoid ever using them. I worked on a Samsung ship yard for a while. They also have clothes, shopping centres, cars rebadged as Samsung, insurance, and many other things. Bit off topic but just interesting if you didn’t know.

Would that ever happen? I always thought these different chaebols didn't get along at all, and Samsung and Hyundai are (respectively) the largest and third largest chaebols in South Korea, so to Samsung surely that would feel like they were sponsoring the enemy.

@@rjfaber1991 well I mean Samsung for a long time (not sure if they still do) supplied parts for iPhones despite it being a big rival. I think Hyundai and Samsung have worked together before as well, with Samsung providing battery technology for Hyundai hybrid vehicles. So maybe not title sponsor but I could see a Samsung SDI (their battery division) being one of the sponsors of the team making sense.

It would be awesome, kind of wish the regs allowed a Rotary tho. Probably It would be a 1.6L 2-rotor Turbo Hybrid but still, would sound awesome! With a cool bonus to reliability since the vibrations are really low but also worse acceleration due to less torque... Regardless, would be fun

@@stepladder3257 maaaybe, but just saying as a korean, interest in motorsports here is near dead, if you go out to the streets and ask people if they know formula one, 99 out of 100 people would not have a single clue to what i'm talking about. people here think racing is dangerous, illegal street racing at night on public roads, not a 'serious' sport. the track itself is awesome, but it's in a really remote area that isn't the most accessible, lets not even go into the topic of accommodation. of course, tourists coming in would be really nice, but seeing how the previous korean grand prix went, as much i would love to see it back, i don't think it's a realistic option... of course i'm not speaking for everyone, and it might actually be that formula one would do nice in korea again, especially with the seoul e prix coming up soon, at least in my eyes it doesn't look that bright sadly

As a proud owner of Tucson, i'd love to see Hyundai in f1. Cars from South Korea had issues in the past and well no one bought them for their looks. Now i'd argue that looks are really awesome botk in Hyundai amd Kia. On top of that you have to be sure of quality if you give 5 years warranty regardless of mileage and 8 years for electric engine. I think Samsung would be also interested in f1 appearance

I worked for a Hyundai dealer for years and bought this first new model Veloster R-Spec I could get my hands on, I really love what Hyundais been doing lately. They’re really investing in motorsport and performance cars in a time where some other manufacturers are turning away from it.

a driver who i’d throw into the conversation is marcus ericsson, there’s a ferrari link having formerly raced with another ferrari customer team (sauber), he’s smashing it in indycar, still just 32 as well. i think the scandinavian market is needed in f1 and ericsson would work really well in hyundai

They truly have came a long way. My dad worked for them, my family refused to buy their cars til about 2010. Hell my mom just got a new Santa Cruz this week, her third Hyundai. At least in the US, their reputation is much better now than I think ever before. Would love to see them in F1.

Renault would be desperate enough to allow rebadging. RBPT is happy to take money for rebadging from wherever as they don't have any attachment to their name on the engine. Ferrari and Mercedes won't allow rebadging.

Guy has an i20N over the road from me and it's one of the best looking cars I see every day. It has genuine personality which is rare nowadays. In fact it's made it one of my attainable dream cars.
