Your opening paragraphs have me hooked. This is a large part of the way I try to teach my sons history.

Great video, thanks a lot. I particularly appreciate your approach to history, it briefly shows how the different cultures contributed to the creation and transfer of knowledge. It also confirms a fascinating fact that travels through ages: humans can be amazing doing the impossible to learn and create... Just as they can be brutal creatures spreading fear and terror.

You bring up great points here. I think is one of the best booktube channels. It's intellectual, informative and engaging. The videos are well produced, too. I just dislike most of booktube, but channels like yours are an alternative to the pretentious "book haul" videos, TBRs and dark academia.

@@BoldBooksandBones The Classics. I've been on a Russian lit phase and just started on FS Fitzgerald this month. I like how you described yourself in your other video as a slow reader, because I am, too.

Amazing. I am short of words right now to describe how I am feeling at this instant after watching this video. You are also a very good story-teller, how good compared to Seb; for that I need to read the Light Ages. But overall I am intrigued with the whole idea of use of knowledge (particularly Mathematics) in establishing the current world order. Thank you so much. I am indebted to you for these deep insights. Xoxo
