One of the BEST songs to come out of the 70’s; a Native American Band. You should see the Midnight Special video of their performance; it opens with Native American dancing, and it is wonderful!!!!!!!!❤️ Re-React maybe? 😊
Hey Half and Jai, if you're curious about what these guys look like, you should definitely check out the the of them performing this song on "The Midnight Special"
Another song from memory lane, 70's. Awesome song.💯🎶❣️ They have a Midnight Special video to this song. One of the band members does a Native American dance on stage, then he plays with the rest of the band... superb! 🤗💝 Much love Half & Jai! 💞 You never mess with sacred burial grounds...
I love how the put father sky and mother earth perspective in there. Then when they embrace their child which if you know is us as people, we are their children . So much meaning bin this video
There is a much better Edition on RU-vid. It's actually them singing it live on stage in Native American clothing. It's really the bomb you guys should try to find it.
This song is on Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie's soundtrack!!! Redbone is a Native American group & this song became #1 on several charts the year it came out...Nice reaction!!!
Must listen to The Carpenters “We’ve only just begun”, “Merry Christmas Darling “ and “Chestnuts Roasting on a open fire” Karen carpenters voice is so beautiful.
I have made a comment on so many reaction videos because I’m just simply amazed. I’m 53 years old. This song came out when I was four. I’ve been listening to the song for a long time I fucking love this song. I had no idea they were Native American.
This song came out in the 70's. I remember my uncle telling me that the people singing that song was some of our people. Being a young girl, I thought he meant family. But, of course, he meant Native American. As I got older, I realized the importance of this band. The only other person I saw on TV that looked a bit like my people was Cher when she performed "Half Breed". I think y'all should react to or at least check out the Midnight Special version. You will be entertained by a grass dance performance before the song. It may make you guys want to check out a Native American Pow Wow. If they are anything like East Coast pow wows, they will have u up dancing with the Native people. But, I think y'all will enjoy watching the Midnight Special performance. If you make it to North Carolina, The Cherokee Nation has their pow wow in June and The Lumbee Tribe has their pow wow in July. I am mixed with both tribes and my maternal grandma was Scotch-Irish.
EVERY BODY SHOULD BE PROUD OF THEIR RACE, WHITE, BLACK, BROWN PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE MUSIC HAS NO COLOR Wish i was in the 1970s Again ..The PEOPLE were way more friendly ,, And the music was THE NUKE
Live performance was more up beat. 1974 The two front singers are brothers and have since passed away. This song was part of the sound track in the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" might be where you heard the melody before. ?
I think this song was popular around the dawn of disco. Whenever it plays currently on a National commercial... suddenly, you're transformed back into the mid 70s. BTW: Digging the vibe you two project. :)
Find Redbone performing on stage and you will be impressed... this video obviously was made in current times with current affairs. Redbone is awesome!!
You guys don't pause the video enough. I only counted 10. LOL . I remember this song came out when I was in junior high school. An all Indian American band. You got to watch the live version
🔴 Disco had not yet formed, but the beat heard here would become the foundation for that sound. Another defining feature on the track is the distorted guitar sound, which Lolly Vegas created by playing through a Leslie organ speaker. Could you please react to Burn for you by John Farnham 🙂
Dudes you can actually spend the night in the tents like hotels. I come from Iowa and that's the Sioux Nation. Also in South Dakota people go to Mount Rushmore Monument and I'd stay at the Custer/Mt. Rushmore KOA its beautiful. So it's the backside of the faces of Mount Rushmore is where the KOA is beautiful and not far from Mount Rushmore is Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort and you can rent standard and luxury teepee's there. It's a awesome vacation if you go during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally each year. For the rallies you have to plan early way early small town 25,000 explodes to 1 million people so you have to have plans. Like 1 year in advance plans unless it's a walmart tent and KOA basic camping which I did during rally I learned my lesson but it was a blast. All kinds of people from everywhere go. You guys would like it. Anyway you can rent teepee's now days which I plan on doing some day.
Okay I got to say you guys are funny and truthfully entertaining the other thing I really like about you two is how open you are to anybody's music I mean it's just very cool and I thank you for that
Oh hell yes great music 🎶 so glad I’m not going to cry 😢 this evening on songs y’all are listening to!! I always love watching you reaction!!! “Come and get your love”!!! We all need to get some love ❤️
We stayed in the old concrete teepee shaped rooms off 66.. don't recommend it.. we did it just to say we did. You Must watch midnight special performance!!! The dance in beginning I think is homage to native American culture.
One of my favorite songs ever. I used to live off foothill blvd and pepper street in Rialto. Along time ago that building across from Popeyes and the bowling alley used to be Kmart. I lived in the neighborhood behind it. I bet you two live in the mobile home park across foothill.
As it has been a minute since the recommendation, I hope I am remembering correctly, but I believe it was you that turned us on to Javy & we love it...! =)
