I occasionally get questions asking if someone should add a sector gear chip to their gun or what it does. This is a video so I can stop answering those questions.
Thanks for your video friend.. i know this was like 5 years ago but resolved my problem... after flip my delayer chip solved my misfeed issues !!! awesome !!
Man I know this was years ago but, recently I just upgraded into a 18:1 gear ratio (no built in delayers) and now the nozzle isn't fully retracting or pulling back which makes my unit not shoot anything since it doesn't load the bbs, would a delayer chip be a solution? Also I noticed after the upgrade that the piston is pulled slightly back (is it called overspin?) After every shot.
I fixed that problem. Thank you but I have another problem I recently installed a m120 spring in my gun so I could use it at my outdoor feild and I doesn't feed at all on full auto. Semi I can trigger finger it really fast and it is perfectly fine. I'm using the evike tornado motor on it could it be that it doesn't have enough torq it sounds a little weird and when shot it has a lot of recoil even though it is a non blowback aeg?
Damn thanks man, my nozzle wasent going back enough to feed the bb cause I'm running a really high speed set up with SHS 13:1 and a Golden Eagle High torque motor so this is FOR SURE going to fix the problem. Thank you
Hi, nice info on your vid. I just want to ask if sector chips lower fps since timing is no longer correct? What I mean is that when the piston is released and the tapet plate does not come back fast enough, you will loose compression?
not really. If your timing were off enough to where it was causing a problem you would most likely notice it as an issue with feeding first before you saw an airseal problem.
Hello Guys! I have a question, maybe you can help me. In some moments when I take the shot, two bbs come out, I noticed that the nozzle is contracted in the gearbox, so it does not completely "close the hopup camera" where the bbs enter the barrel, the nozzle is halfway, is this normal? Is this the problem of double feeding?
Has it been proved that delayer chips actually help feeding in high ROF setups? They never seem to make more than marginal difference for me. I did see a tiny improvement in feeding in a 50rps SSG setup I built a few years ago, but the difference was barely noticeable.
Well at that speed it's mostly up the the mag to throw the rounds in fast enough and the hopup and barrel to chamber it properly at that point it's no longer an air nozzle problem
How much will this slow rps I'm making a g&g combat machine cm18 mod 1 high speed setup and fullauto (about 33 rps as of now, getting a high speed motor) and full auto only feeds about 2 shots and the dry fires and sometimes jams when I use a fresh mag but about halfway through the mag it'll feed flawlessly, should I get one and will it butcher my rps
I say what you could do to a normal gun, which was completely awesome. I have 2 questions for you. Can u build one to shoot 30rds/sec? And How much did you end up spending in total?
I have a question i have a high speed set up with a delay clip. But some times I get a couple of bbs that shoot like 20 feet. Also since I installed the delayer clip my fps went down from 360 to 290 or 300 do you know why this is happening I've tried many things and the air seals are good please help
I suspect you are running low ratio gears with a strong motor. This causes the sector to re-engage your tappet plate, pulling your nozzle back before the piston actually fires completely. This is why you are getting lower fps
+lemonjelly So what would be the solution to fixing this problem. I thought about Filling down the sector gear tooth the last one. which if not mistaken would release the piston sooner.
HEY valleyriverarms I have the ares am-013 and i want to get high rps and iam getting the parts from brill. Iam getting the asg 30k 16tpa motor and shs 12:65:1 gears. iam also using an 11.1 lipo. iam also getting some shims oring nozzle and double oring v2 lonex cylinder head and zci steel anti heat cylider. also a shs 14tooth piston with super shooter aluminum piston head and a 3/16 buffer and a m110 and reinforced tappet plate. do you know and estimate on rof and fps under 380 and can the asg motor pull it. thx for the help.
err depending on the size of the 11.1 you're using you could probably hit 30 easy with that setup. However you'll probably want to install a heavier spring to keep it from overspinning and tearing out your piston. i would suggest at minimum an m120 and short stroking 1-2 teeth off the sector. You'll also need to install the magnet into the new sector gear in order for that to work with the mosfet that the ares has (i think it's using an amoeba gearbox right?)
valleyriverarms yea I know I have to put a magnet in the sector gear but Iam going to use a m110 and 14 tooth piston that is swissed chesedd and thx for the help
So my only problem is that if I want the sector gear on my gun to have correct AOE I have to push that tappet plate all the way back in its retracted position because of how that delay chip is set around the tappet plate which after each shot cycle it rests in that retracted position adds stress to the tappet plate and spring and after doing so a strange thing then happens with my hop up on the top of the hop up is a spring that sits between the hop up and the inside of the outer barrel if that spring is not in there it feeds bbs perfectly But my FPS is dropped like 30 so shooting 320 average but without that spring it drops to 280 But if that spring is in there it shoots 320 but it doesn't feed bbs very well at all so I'm completely baffled on what to do can anyone help
So you may have already fixed this… the spring pushes the the hop unit against the gearbox creating a good air seal. without it air can leak between nozzle and bucking (FPS drop). The feeding issues could be the nozzle is too long and doesn’t retract enough to allow bbs in hop unit
It used to be quite good. Recently they really fumbled the bag with the i5 gearbox and now both their internals and externals aren't as good and especially not for the money. The market has changed a lot since I made these videos. I'll say CYMA, VFC, Specna, G&G, Krytac, KWA, King Arms are all doing great things nowadays
Okay I have a A&K Masada version 2 gearbox and I've been asking around at my field on what internals I should get. A lot of stuff do like they have no clue what there talking about. So it would be awesome if you could make a quick video explaining how to raise the speed of my gun and what I should get. Or you can just send me a private message. Thanks
watch?v=aQP-TgN9jRY&list=PLnOf-5RhigzBJ35zuEXQdd9zZdVw63w21&index=15 I guess i didn't make a build video. Sold it a while ago. SHS 16:1 gears, shs 15 tooth piston, guarder piston head, JG red motor, madbull tightbore, shs cylinder head, vs studio air nozzle, hamsterfet. I think that was the build list but it was a while ago.
ok so when I pull the trigger on my m4, the trigger makes a clicking sound and nothing moves at all in the gun. I think its the trigger cause when I hear the clicking, I can feel the vibration of it clicking too. I have no idea what it is and no youtube video is seeming to help me. can someone please enlighten me on my problem?
CONSWAN117 You need a lot more details for anyone to be able to help you. If it's the actual trigger making a clicking noise, then yeah you're contacts are probably fucked up. But it could also be your motor trying to spin against a jam, or it's too weak to cycle the gearbox. Open the gearbox up and report
CONSWAN117 dude same problem... motor is working, trigger contacts are working and gears are moving but when i assembly the gun amd shoot only click is happening like it cant move and piston inside cilinder is not resetting too
i have a problem with my setup i use 13:1 shs gear set and high speed red motor. Sometimes when shoot no bb's comes out or sometimes it will shot 2 bb's at the same time. If i install delayer in my unit will it fix the problem?
I have 14:1 shs gears and they claim that the delayer chip is built in, so you wouldn't be able to fit in one, unless you find a way to mod and build your own piece to fit. I have the same problem as you, so I'm trying to find a slightly short air nozzle and see if that works.
kevin kimmakim im having the same problem with my tm aug high cycle...changed the motor to CA high torque and m150 spring( due to wear n tear), gear set and nozzle still standard but somehow having missfeed issues
Yes (as long as it's needed: if it has a gap between the gear shaft and the gearbox shell). The tappet plate will fit "behind" the delayer chip/post, which means it lays under the top shims.
hey i want to know if you can buily me a DSG gearbox in a G&G shell for the cheapest amount possible all stock i have a G&G body because i recently switched from a polarstar and i wanted to know if you could build me one and for how much
rephrase: G&G gearbox shell not the body the body i have too but like with a G&G gearbox shell and everything inside it stock and just do what you need to do
Not currently accepting builds but last time I built a DSG it cost about 500 parts and labor. If I cheaped out on some stuff I could probably knock 50-70 bucks off but not too much.
I tried this clip with a future energy high speed tappet plate... I'm still new to teching and maybe it was common sense not to do it ...but Damn don't do it!!! The Delayer clip will not release the tappet plate
