I’m 24 and my grandma STILL insists on sitting at or near the porch by their pool when I swim there, “just in case I need her help”. Nothing has changed from 4 to 24. She doesn’t stare me down like a hawk anymore, but she’s close by. (This comment is less about Jess and more about sharing with you all how cute and sweet my grandma is...)

That’s awful. We lost our nephew to an accidental drowning. Our kids are only allowed in water (pool, lake, ocean...whatever) one kid to one adult. It’s too dangerous. So sad.

A colleague quadrapplegic told me about his accident, making him disabled all his life. He was 14 years old and acting as a jerk with friends next to a swimming pool. He threw himself into the pool, hit his head and neck and instantly lost control of his legs and arms. His friends saved his life, but his life remained affected forever. Her children are much smaller and unattended next to a swimming pool! Wow....

She was literally more concerned with Addie cutting her hair than her son almost getting massively injured in the pool

Her youngest is, I think, only 4 years old. When my 3&4 year old are in the pool there is never a second my eyes aren’t on them. This is beyond concerning.

My ex step sister left her 4 year old son playing in the yard to go inside and get high. Her neighbor happened to hear something going on and ran over to the pool to find him drowning. It didn't matter that he had been found quickly. He had already gotten water in his lungs. She went to jail for neglect causing the death of a child. All children should be taught how to save themselves in water, no matter where you live. They can start learning as infants.

Also this is the kid that almost did drown because she wasn't watching him. And she wants her youngest to learn how to swim so she doesn't have to be outside with her. What a great parent 👏

She is the LAST person I want to listen to their parenting recommendations. The last.

In one of Jessfam videos she took her kid to the doctor and then proceeded to tell all her viewers his weight and how much he gained from the last appointment. If my mom did that I would DIE

the fact she almost laughs when she watches the video of Landon jumping into the hot tub....his head was SO close to that step seat, could've easily killed himself, and she's practically laughing at it. wtf is wrong with this woman

I just contacted Narwal told them I was going to buy their products but just saw them on Jessfam and told them I would never order from them as long as they sponsored family vloggers customer service said that they would have a supervisor contact me regarding my concerns. Surely with them both working from home 24/7, you can move with your laptop to where they are so at least one parents watching? Or, with her money hire a nanny

I managed to raise four kids, now adults, without the use of technology because it wasn’t around; I was!

Even adults shouldn’t swim alone!!! Adults in the US are absolutely told to NOT leave kids alone around water (it’s neglect). I couldn’t tell if they have a fence (locked) around the pool. That is usually considered required by CPS (if not many state laws if there are kids under a certain age).

I'm a toddler teacher at a childcare. If I can't figure out how a child got hurt it's a BIG issue and it's never an excuse 'well I didn't see it'. The fact that she's not watching her kids while they're in a pool is a recipe for disaster

I am shocked that she is willing to let her content drown. Because that's essentially what her kids are to her...content.

We wouldn't allow my kids over to my parents house for 2 weeks when we found my son in the pool with no adult while they were babysitter. I don't care that he was 10 and can swim. That's a big NO from this former lifeguard!!

Josh, I have a story for you . I’m 4 weeks postpartum after the birth of my first baby and I finally worked up the courage to look in a mirror “down there”. Lo and behold, there was an extra flap. And instead of crying about it, I actually laughed thinking of your snark to the video of Aaryn Williams and Channon Rose pregnancy nonsense. Thank you for keeping humor in my life during this otherwise difficult and overwhelming time.

She used to sit upstairs in her bed, watching the cameras instead of her kids outside (in the road). This makes me sick that she wasn't out there while he was in the pool. If she had been she could have stopped him from jumping into the hot tub. But at least she has footage to watch. The floaties on her daughter are also not recommended, they give false sense of security. Why is she not sitting there by the pool.

I see nothing wrong with adults who like Disney but she's really weird about it. Also, put down the camera and watch your kids, Lady!!

I live in FL and I read that the number one cause of accidental death in children here is drowning in swimming pools. It’s terrifying to me, we have a pool and a 2 year old. It’s something I am ALWAYS aware of… I can’t imagine letting kids play by the pool while I’m inside!

Lifeguard here! The pool i work at (and all others in my city) has a “within arms reach” policy for all children under 6 years old, and for any child under 12 who doesn’t pass a swim test. This means that at our public pools, even when there are multiple trained lifeguards present it is still best practice to have a parent/guardian/adult within arms reach of a child at all times. there’s no excuse for not watching your kids in the pool.

You would think that if you have a pool you’d teach your kids pool safety and they’d know not to jump in the hot tub. 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I don’t even let me teenagers and friends swim without me on the pool deck .. they become silly and something could happen. I was a lifeguard and trust me accidents happen to even the best swimmers !! Do not let your kids swim by themselves !!! WATCH YOUR KIDS !!

When you adopt (at least in USA or because I adopted internationally it gets fuzzy) you need to be liscensed to parent. You literally take classes. Sometimes I look at people like Jessfam and I think EVERYONE needs to be liscensed in order to have children. What did she do now? She is very upsetting to watch.

This video angered me a lot more than others... Idc what anyone thinks of me- when it comes to swimming & my children, I'm a helicopter mom! They are NEVER to be alone (and they know this as well) call me paranoid but it only takes seconds for a child to drown. It's the leading cause of death for children. And it's likely always preventable. Seeing her laughing & making light of this and not even recognizing she should've been out there, to only 3 mins later (after watching security footage of course) just go right on back inside to make the same mistake. Learning nothing & evidently not caring. Accidents happen, but in this case the accident was avoidable and could have been SO much worse. I'm pissed rn! Thanks for talking about this, Josh. Not only does she want another baby for content but she also doesnt know what to do with them once they are out of the toddler stage (especially the boys). Once they are weaned she is done.

My grandma was a former nurse and was always vocal about the importance of watching your kids near the pool. She had seen too many neglectful parents like JessFam while she was working in the hospital.

I’ve always worked with the public (retail, restaurants and now as a librarian) and it’s always been appalling how moms AND dads just ignore their kids, even when said kid is clinging to their legs and screaming. So many parents just completely tune their kids out! So they can’t hear...it’s always been crazy to me as a mom myself.

Of course you can't leave your young children alone with water! 😳🤬 She doesn't seem to care much...

I grew up swimming in my neighbors pool and the rule was no kids in the pool unless an adult was outside to watch us. I remember we would have to get out of the pool if mom neighbor had to go inside for whatever reason, and we would wait till she came back out.

In one of her recent videos the youngest cut her hair. The title was “moms worst nightmare” the child that cut their hair literally almost died from “sids” (suffocating in a blanket on their bed) but cutting her own hair is the worst nightmare in messssicas mind.

You would think that because their youngest almost died when she was an infant they would be a little more vigilant about making sure their kids are safe. I mean Chris found Addie blue and not breathing and had to perform CPR on her! It's unbelievable that she would even risk them swimming alone.

My daughter always complains that I’m not fun, I don’t let her do anything fun... like yeah I don’t want you to get hurt..

So her kids literally have no privacy, like anyone could hack her phone and just watch her kids. Or just for them to know that she's filming them literally every moment they are near the cameras and could share that at any time. That's like prison. Those poor kids.

The sad thing is, if this was just a “typical” family like you and I CPS would be in there immediately as this is a serious matter. Jesss is just laughing and going on about how her security cameras babysit for her. Children unattended in a pool/hot tub is a huge no no! Risk of drowning, banging head on sides of pool, back flopping into a frickin hot tub!! etc

Parents HAVE to have eyes on children in water CONSTANTLY!! Water is SO dangerous!!! We have a pool right in the back yard, I can see it out my back door BUT my children arent allowed in it AT ALL unless I am outside with them! It's to dang dangerous!! This kills me! Not only were they unsupervised but he was doing flips into a tiny hot pool!! Its a thousands wonders he didnt knock his brains out! Ugh!!!! Makes me so angry at her!!!!

My son almost drowned while in a pool with his friends and their mom. The mom was right there when this happened and she got him to safety. She is a swimming coach and was watching them closely, in the water with them. I'm so grateful my little guy was okay but I was horrified thinking how scared he must have been. She is a disgrace. YES, a CPS call is warranted. She's too stupid to realize what she should do - she pulls out her camera and relies on camera footage - that's after the fact. You are so right, Josh! It takes a few seconds and watching a replay or looking at a live footage of the kids in the pool is child abuse.

That's why I don't want a pool for the house..I know I'll be the one has to hang out outside watching them
