Taylor gets to work on a customers 1974 VW Thing hunting an oil leak, installing a pertronix ignition and making a custom wire harness for a gauge cluster.
Should be the same as the SVDA units. I believe it’s D186504. Though I think that’s the part number for the complete distributor on Summit which I would not recommend; the vacuum canisters are trash. If you go on CIP1 and look in the electronic ignition section, you should be able to find one applicable. If not, shoot me a message on Instagram and I’ll help you find it ✌🏻
I'm trying to get you to repeat yourself if possible...on a previous video you talked about a website /store to get a aftermarket set of petals for a beetle..could you tell me please..thanks
I’ve mentioned many times that I really like the Vintage Speed accelerator pedals but that’s all that’s included; just the accelerator, it’s not a full cluster. If you Google “vintage speed VW” it’s one of the top listings, it’s a company in Taiwan, they make very high quality parts. Excellent exhaust and shifters as well.
Absolutely not 😂 I don’t think this car has its crank handle and having not tried a hand crank before, I have no interest in snapping my wrist trying to learn
To be honest, I never isolated it. I replaced the valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets. Cleaned up the tin and heads. Ran it on the stand for 30 minutes and nothing leaked. If I had to guess, valve cover gasket.
Please stop changing the tail light configuration from the single contact German configuration to the Mexican double contact configuration. It makes it look like an American style GM or Ford style vehicle and it’s not.
