I was in kindergarten when the challenger exploded. I didn't get it, I was just upset that all the teachers were upset.

For 1 to 2 minutes, that was probably the best fireworks show ever.

I remember the challenger explosion. it was so tragic. we were all sitting in class watching the broadcast. as soon as it exploded, they turned off the TV and tried to distract us as they figured out what was going on. as little kids, we didn't really know what was going on, but we knew it wasn't good.

Damar Hamlin. Went from a normal play to complete silence as we all waited to figure out what happened. I felt so bad for the talking heads, they were desperately trying to fill airtime while themselves having no idea how Hamlin was doing so all they could do was repeat how they hoped he was ok over and over. Cut to ad break, rinse and repeat.

They were originally going to send Bigbird on challenger but he was way too big, so in some parallel universe Bigbird is part of one of the worst space flight tragedies in history

I was a kid when the Challenger exploded and like virtually every other school kid in the USA K-12 my school's entire student body was watching ( from our various classrooms not enmass) and we all went from excited to horrified. some kids including my own younger brother were so upset they had to be sent home for the day. Never thought about it until now but those at her own school had to be extra affected by the disaster.

The sports one about them replaying it over and over reminds me [ I wasn't born but family who watched told me ] the horror and shock that they kept the camera rolling during the formula 1 race where senna died they kept the camera rolling on him even after he was dead

Story 5, the only; and I mean the only good thing about that night was whoever was in charge of the camera at that PPV panned the camera to the audience. That meant the home audience didn't see the fall and subsequent impact. And only found out about Owen Hart's passing petty much after Jim Ross found out. That PPV, from what I recall; is locked away; never to be viewed, copied or destroyed. this means that it will never be on the WWE's streaming service and wasn't released on VHS or DVD. Owen Hart landed on and hit the top rope, those things are basically super hard from what I remember reading. From the episode of "Dark Side of the Ring"; the last words that Owen Hart said were "watch out".

Last one: The episode of that show is on YT. It was a fascinating to watch. The only problem I have with it is that the people who DIDN’T vote for horrible things to happen to the guy (Chris I think his name was) still had to watch it play out.

I was never a fan of Twilight but was forced to watch the movies because I was dating a girl that was a huge fan. The first time we all watched that movie together her and her mother were completely losing their minds watching characters die off almost in tears. When the reveal happened I lost my crap laughing

I’m not sure if anyone in the comments has ever read the twilight books, but that vision of the fight DOES happen in the books, but you, the reader do not get to see, hear about or even get described the vision in the books. They basically changed the POV for a brief moment to show us what Alice and Aro see, and why he chooses to run instead of fight. If you’re a casual watcher of the movies, there’s a ton of context that they don’t put in the movies, but will reference to, to the point of seeming out of place, while the people who read the books understand the context, but are still upset at the dumb way they use it.

Nah that twilight ending had me pissed and I was 10 or 11 years old watching that. That was the only thing I liked about that movie and that's how it ends. I'm still mad about that.

Not exactly the same, but the title reminded me of this house party I threw. Probably like 50 or 60 people there. Smoking herb, drinking all kinds of booze, and listening to very loud rap. We were having a great time. This girl who was my ex's coworker or something decided to put on a song she liked for the party. It was a slow, somber country song that screeched the party atmosphere to a grinding halt. I personally yelled out, "What. The FUCK is this?" Everyone turned and glared at this girl, who immediately turned red and froze up. She took her phone off the aux cord and put it back where it was, and promptly left the party. In hindsight I felt a little bad for her, but c'mon, read the room bro. You can't just change up the atmosphere like that out of nowhere, at least not at my party. lol

I'm more bothered by the stuttering in the gameplay video. That thing hurts my eyes.

I went to the midnight premier of the last twilight movie and my experience was way different - everyone was *losing their minds* , the book fans for the change and the movie fans who thought it always happened that way. It was utter chaos, crying etc, and then after the reveal, so many kids were screaming 😂
