Pete Lawrence and Paul Abel reveal what you can see in the night sky this month, including Mars, Venus and the Beehive Cluster, the Summer Solstice and the Summer Triangle.
@@bbcskyatnightmag Hi can you explain what you mean by going again? I see it like every other night? Isnt it always there most of the year? what time of the year is it not there? Thanks
I saw all of Scorpius ♏ from Florence, Italy a few years ago but light pollution in the city was a problem.I don't know about the very south of England if you can see all of it,say Cornwall as I've never been there in the summer evenings but I use to live in Oxford at around 51.45 north and you certainly couldn't see the tail of the Scorpion from there even out in the rural areas.I'm in Co Durham now about 3 degrees north of Oxford and Antares is no problem but I can't get Epsilon Scorpius which was the lowest star in it i could get from rural Oxfordshire.
The head of Hercules is missing because the crown should have been there but it was knocked off by the serpent and is falling onto the serpent's head instead.
