Astronomers Pete Lawrence and Paul Abel reveal the best things to see in the night sky this month, including catching Venus before it disappears, the daytime lunar occultation of Jupiter, the Moon and the tongue-twisting stars of Libra!
Always entertaining, look forward to the virtual planetarium every month. As a fairly long-term amateur astronomer, I'm so glad we inherited mainly Arabic star names rather than Latin ones, apart from the poetic sounds, they give us Westerners a great opportunity for misspelling, mispronunciation, and strangulated vowels...one day I'd love to hear a true Arabic speaker give the original pronunciation. Unfortunately, my star atlas just has an American accent, so I'm still none the wiser.
Hey Gents being a layman here I wonder if possible if a pointer could be used to point out the objects that you mention while talking? This coming from a fella in Canada
