I personally think June is probably the best bet. A month before release just seems right to me. You got time to build up interest before release, but you're also not just throwing everything out there left and right. If we get some news before then, that's by all means welcome and great, but it just feels like June is the most natural approach.
Not only that, it leaves breathing room following Tears of the Kingdom, which is super important for the marketing of this game if Nintendo wants the trailers to be, you know, actually seen heh
Metal Pikmin rising In all seriousness, I’m so pumped for 4. I played the original game when I was only a few years old and now I’m turning 22 this year 😅
I never understood why Nintendo doesn't promote Pikmin more. I've seen countless ads for Nintendos upcoming games, but not Pikmin. If they pushed it as hard as Mario, Smash, Metriod, or BOTW it would probably get better sales. Most of the time when I ask people about it, they've never even heard of it.
As much as I wanted to see something this month and another thing in June, it likely that there will just be a full June trailer. Hopefully it will be early in the month near my birthday. To hold myself off until then, I am slowly playing through every game in the series including hey pikmin. This will allow me to see how the series has evolved to appreciate Pikmin 4 more (and hopefully flow into a possible pikmin 4 demo).
I really hope the next trailer shows off the story and atmosphere of the game as a way to really grab people in. I kinda hope they don’t show off every type (new or returning) as I’d love to be surprised while playing the game!! Overall I just hope they don’t spoil too much because Pikmin games are best enjoyed blind!

Videos like this will be nostalgic once the game releases. We'll look back and remember the time when we couldn't wait for Pikmin 4. When it was still a mystery what the game had in store for us. Whether it's the best or worst Pikmin game of all time, the hype behind it will always be significant.
Absolutely- it was the same with Pikmin 3 too I plan on doing a big livestream where I go through all the videos I’ve made on the topic and put them in an accuracy tier list
I also think this theory because for pikmin 3 deluxe they released three trailers, and there are 85 days for pikmin 4 so they can realese another trailer.
Here’s hoping for may, the anticipation is killing me. I got my wife into the series and she just finished pikmin 1! Started her on 3 so I can’t wait to replay 2 with her! And experience 4 together 😅
Based on trailer release schedules for tears of the kingdom and splatoon three I think a trailer in late may is very likely. I wouldn’t expect to see anything until Zelda drops though, considering the fact that Nintendo is going to want to heavily focus on that game. Once it does drop I think it’s time to start stalking the Nintendo RU-vid channel. If not late may I’d be shocked if we don’t get atleast one trailer by early June. If we have NOTHING by the time we hit like June 9th I’ll eat my shoe.
Pikmin 4 launches on my birthday and right before my husband and I have a few weeks of work. Safe to say we're not going to leave the sofa until August
Excellent video. I wonder if they'd even do a Pikmin Direct? Unlike Zelda, I don't think they're concerned about spoilers. If they want to keep their holiday lineup under wraps still and want to give Pikmin a lot of hype, a Direct would still be the biggest way to get attention. Not sure it's mega-likely but seems conceivable.
God, I hope there's a trailer soon. And yknow, if there is a night mode and possibly a new type of pikmin... It would be interesting if we combine the two; like a pikmin that is more effective at night! Like... a pikmin that can somehow hide you from the predators at night (maybe camouflage?). Either way, I'm pumped.
I’ve seen a LOT of night concept Pikmin from the community over the years, and I’d love to see how close or far an official Nintendo type would be to these, particularly because ice Pikmin was such a requested and fan thought-through type and they exist now
I bought the og Pikmin back in march cuz I also got one of those old wiis that run GameCube games. And I accidentally threw a yellow holding a bombrock into an absolute PLETHORA of enemies (there were also bomb rocks scattered around the enemies too) and the yellow threw the rock while they were in the middle of the enemy horde and then ran off barely dodging the explosion by tripping. That reminded me of cut scenes and it'd be cool seeing cut scenes like pikmin 3's ending but more animated. Like say you have to retreat from a cave you could have some sort of animation of the captain and Pikmin escaping like a bullhorn and going back to the surface. (P.s.That Pikmin will forever have flashbacks)

That would be SO SO SO hype if it landed right on your birthday, haha I had that happen with a song from one of my favorite bands once, their lead single for their first album in over a decade, dropped without warning. The last single was dropped on my Dad's birthday. Funny how that sort of thing works out, haha

Now i know ill probably or not will get a did i ask comment for this but the first time i encountered bulbmin was this "ok lets do this cave wait why does that bulborb have a leaf WHY DOES THAT BULBORB HAVE A LEAF" then i got bulbmin and i was just shocked there were pikmin that were parasite like.
I think you’re not alone in this sentiment- the next trailer has to have a really big wow moment, I think, to draw people back in after Zelda (perhaps a new Pikmin type? Or a demo to get people to actually sit down with the game?)
I could definitely see a 10 minutes of gameplay vid from Ign to stir up hype again, but I just really don’t want them to forget about advertising it, because it will end up having people forget about Pikmin as a whole
Idk bro. After the breath of the wild trailer showing (imho) too much I think even if they bring out a new trailer I'm not gonna look at it. I wanna experience it relatively blind like I did with the originals.

I just thought of this There's a chance we might have actull online multi-player since u play as one of the captins that leaves 3 more captins they don't use much in the trailer (maybe u could be oachi)
Unfortunately, the site says nothing about online multiplayer atm. While this could change, I see it as unlikely. That said, I think the likelihood that there's two player locally with one player as Oatchi is very high
I’m personally looking for a new area, if the entire game is just this one big area that it’s surroundings or biome doesn’t change, it would get boring really quickly.
