You and I are headed to hell right now regardless of “how good you are” because we could never be good enough. “Being a good person” will not get you into heaven. Imagine the most expensive mansion in the world, you go and knock on the door and say “let me in, I’ve been a good person.” What would they say? In the same way, you don’t get into heaven by being good or bad, you get into heaven by having a relationship with Jesus. It’s not about believing because you could go to the sane mansion I mentioned before, and say: “let me in, I believe that you’re real.” Not at all, we really have no way to get in because our admission was forfeited when we sinned after reaching the age of accountability. However; Jesus Christ was perfect. He lived a blameless life and died for our sins. Now, everyone says that, but what does that mean? It means that even though He was perfect, He took the punishment for our sins, and gave us the reward for righteousness. That way, whenever you accept Jesus as your personal savior, it’s more than just believing he was real, God sees you through the lens of Jesus; He sees you as righteous.
