When Vax Met Gilmore... - Vox Machina ORIGIN Moments 

Not just pudgy but actually has a good thick or even quite stocky frame which you never see as a build in animation A lot of bigger guys still carry most of their mass in their chests, arms, and shoulders even if they have a bit of a gut. It’s also nice to see a character with a stocky build be depicted as a clean cut, suave, and presenting themselves as attractive instead of just going with the “If a character is even slightly overweight, they don’t care about their appearance” route. And I understand as someone who has done character design that silhouettes are important so it’s very easy to use a characters weight as a way to give them a exaggerated and unique build shape, but as someone who is very similarly built (a little more bulky in the chest that lower torso) it’s nice to have a character here and there that represents those of us with a not particularly pudgy, but still bulky or stocky frame.

@@ChillyTheIceCucumber Probably because a scripted, animated show almost never gets the benefit of improvisational conversations. It's always going to feel a little more "forced" than literal improv.

My favorite line reading in the show is from Pike: "I'm not a GHOST, Scanlan!"

It gave me "not in front of my salad" vibes.

Or vice versa. As someone who'd never watch CR, I immediately thought that was the point of showing Gilmore doing the trick -- to show they have a connection. Plus Vax's wink at the end in case anyone still wasn't sure.

I want to give this a thumbs up, but it's currently 69 and I can't think of anything more fitting for those two...

Yeah, i saw the weasel but he's not crimson and i didn't think that was an actual species in Exandria, just Artagan being Artie.

Yeah, he was always described as having a belly and being a powerful guy, but for some reason all the fanart of Gilmore always made him slender

He also recreates Gilmore with a character creation at some point in one of the side contents on CR channel, and I think it was in Pillars of Eternity(?). And Liam is there and he also says he didn't know Gilmore was thicc and they joke about that.

@@Arkay24 They recreate Gilmore in a soul calibur gameplay I believe. Matt takes a second to say Gilmore in his eyes has always been bigger.

I also took issue with his character in the show. I think they turned him into genie from Aladdin.

C1 is definitely worth it and is still my favorite mostly due to it being my exposure to DND and just the characters are hilarious.

Gilmore is a human, Pumat isn’t. People of color exist and actors of color deserve opportunities to play characters they represent. Firbolgs do not exist at all. I don’t see what’s so confusing about the difference unless you’re actively trying to argue in favor of excluding POC actors from POC roles.

I don't care if the actors are POC or not, everyone is equal, what matters is talent. Luckily they found the best VA except Matt to fill in the role.

@@ariaflame-au I think the shows beginning is a bit different from the lviestream cause we don't see all that happened pre-briarwood arc which in dealing with all that has to happen is alright but would of liked to seen the underdark. That place is so cool to me and full of mystery.
