Had he played better in the 4th qtr against the Lions it would've been 6 games. If he played better against GB or TB it would've been 9 games won. 11 games would've assured the Bears a playoff spot and Justin Fields would still be a Chicago Bear. The NFL is a game of inches.

How many feet, not inches, does that add up to? The Bears were, and still are in a rebuild. Everyone in the front office knew the situation any quarterback would have been in at that time. Not only that he was a rookie in that situation. They didn't pile on the kid like some "fans" did because they knew how unfair it was. Sure, Fields could have been better, but to not see the entire picture of where the Bears were at the time feels disingenuous at best. Plain stupid and hateful would probably be more like it.

@@nalvarado65 I don't put wins and losses on 1 player. But the QB is the 1 player who affects wins and losses. If Fields was a better QB, especially in the 4th qtr he would still be the starting QB for the Chicago Bears instead of traded for a 6th rd draft pick.

Yeah but they play Packers twice, Lions twice, and Vikings twice. All very good team in the HARDEST division in the NFL. They also have some tough opponents! They don’t make the schedule buddy.

Every year that teams supposedly have easy schedules, those teams end up playing end up being good. Over the last few years, if you take the teams that supposedly had the "easiest" top 5 scheduled end up at the end of the season having had the middle of the pack in terms of strength of schedule. You realize that right? Why do you think that is? Its because there is a lot of parity in the NFL and a lot of teams make significant jumps from year to year. Speaking of Bears, they also pay in the toughest division in the NFL. Lions and packers both made it deep in the playoffs. Vikings were a playoff team if Kirk Cousins didn't get injured. So again, teams don't make the schedules and it shouldn't matter because every team is capable of beating any team on a Sunday. Again, look back and see, easiest schedule nonsense don't end up making sense.

@@nickgon7ng it’s not even the QB. It’s the simple fact that JJ didn’t really throw the ball much at Michigan, they were a run first team. That’s where he had the most success. So I feel like….the Vikings should take that same standard. They are gonna make him throw the ball 30-40 times a game like cousins because of them not having any solid backs. And the main reason why people aren’t taking them seriously is because we don’t know if Jefferson is actually staying or going and they lost one of their best pass rushers in Danielle Hunter.

They've made some slight improvements in the defense since then. Shane Waldron most likely is a significant improvement as an offensive coordinator for the team. The offensive has made significant improvements since last season. Adding Williams, Allen, Swift, Everett and Odunze. If the Bears won 7 games with what they had last year then why would we expect them to do the same or worse? What? Williams isn't who we think is? This improved offense of the Bears will have more talent over the defenses they play than USC had over the defenses they played. That means that Williams should have adequate time to throw the ball and his receivers should be more open than his receivers were at USC. Williams is sharp and intelligent emotionally driven to be the best and was the best in college! It's evident that he can process and go through his progressions handling the quarterback position. His ability to deliver the ball is one of the best I've ever seen with a quick wind up and wrist snapping throw with a high level of accuracy. Not to mention his excellent ability to extend plays with his legs to pass! So yeah, with our defense coming off the season as one of the best and our offense making significant improvements with Williams we expect the Bears to get at least 10 wins, pass for over 4,000+ yards and pass for over 30+ touchdowns. As a Bear fan that's what we expect. If you're not a Bears fan then why are you following? Follow your team!
