Shwood has just been playing the long game, he did the episode on the Vault channel just to lower your guard so that he could eventually plug his channel and increase his audience from the MB's here. His original channel is about social engineering, at the bar and on the street and you guys let him into your bar. I'm on to you Brushwood. Great episode though, and I was just watching the newest Modern Rogue episode before this.

F4ST3R that's the only way to do it! Never buy pecan pie. If you want a real Texas pecan pie hint, use the recipe on the back of the dark Karo syrup bottle. It's the most classic of classic.

I just poured myself a buffalo trace and took a slice of a christmas gingerbread straight from my mom's hands and grandmas recipe and the first thing I've seen was this vid. The ultimate joy of hitting the spot was magical

Just for your own information in Tennessee we tend to add a shot of Jack Daniels to pecan pie filling. We bake it off and leaves a great flavor.

I totally agree with pecan pie and whiskey. My wife makes hers with Jack Daniel's in the filling and whiskey candied pecans on top. Its delicious.

Pecan and buffalo trace is a great combo... Death and Co have a great recipe for a pecan infused buffalo trace, add a little bit of fatty sweetness to it and its an unreal drink

You want a pairing where a smoky scotch is the best pair, popcorn. Otherwise bourbon and speysides are easy to match with most snack/dessert things.

Vanilla flavors go great with bourbon. Add 2 ounces of bourbon to the pecan pie recipe for the best you ever had. Scotch loves chocolate of course.

When you're pairing deserts with whisk(e)y the sweet bourbon HAD to win. How about pairing ‘real’ pies (steak & kidney, steak & ale, shepherds etc) with whiske(e)y, to keep it real? And give the Talisker a fighting chance. (Haggis might be difficult to get hold of legally, I hear)
