Just tried this out for fun, and was very impressed with the results. Only on 6 sensitivity, not maxed out. Whites seems to be going in a very good direction lately. I can't wait to see the new MX Sport!
thank you for the information on the treasure pro. It's refreshing to get real info that I can understand considering this is America. Can't seem to find much info unless I'm Russian or Spainish!! Thanks again.
Coin Hunter, Just a note, my treasure pro is about 15 miles away (FEDEX) I will be going from a White 4DB.... It brings a whole new meaning to the word OLD... I have promised the old machine to my Granddaughter, her family is going to Disney in a couple of weeks with her dance class.... My new machine should be here maybe tomorrow..... Really enjoyed your air test greatly.... Thanks, makes me glad I bought it.......
The treasure pro is more than a entry level machine, being this good and retailing 400 bucks, the cheaper models like Garret ace 250 and under are more like entry level, and what really defines entry level anyway, I watched two minelab ctx 3030 air tests and they were picking coins at 11-12 inches, now in the soil, if a coin has been there for some time it radiates it’s metal content into the surrounding soil therefore generating a possible larger target, some will say you loose depth in soil over an air test, not always correct. And as for the mention of the Tesoro cibola the treasure pro whoooppsss ass, the cibola cannot detect to that level unless subject been in ground for a long time and ground is damp generating more conductivity, the treasure pro is by far an outstanding machine, and there are many other outstanding machines out there, as for missing a few because you did not invest 2-3 grand I don’t think it’s much to worry about seeing that most coins are found between the 2-8 inch depth anyhow, I have used minelabs/ whites and Tesoro in the past over 15 years ago all good machines my last some years ago being a dfx . Then when this tech started coming out I realised by trying and seeing for myself that I don’t need to keep upgrading and over spending middle of the road and a little under on certain detectors is all you need, and the treasure proand the mx7 and the mx sport are really good machines, and I do not get paid for talking about them, a lot of research and knowledge in the field of detecting will open you up to his way of thought, there are those who like to spend lots of money to show they have a really expensive machine don’t I look good, there are those who generally think they have to spend a lot of money to find good targets at good depth, and there are those who think we’ll if I spend big it’s going to last longer and be quite sometime before newer ones come out, wrong, everybody buys what they like and what works for them, but there’s a lot of haters out there who own expensive machines always pulling down the majority who own middle of the road machines who in most cases are finding good finds and enjoying the fun that comes with it, my whole point here is the treasure pro is a dam good machine and I don’t own one yet, and it will go deeper in soil and beach as already tested and proved.i would like to see all detectorists get along we are all in the same hobby, no matter what you swing, keep swinging folks enjoy and good luck in the field.
Drove to Whites today and purchased the Treasure Pro for my wife. Very light and easy to swing. I really like the Trashy program and able to customize the discrimination. This is really a nice detector. If anyone is ever in Sweet Home Or, stop by Whites and check it out. Nice folks and they have a real nice museum.
great test ! I have been looking at this machine to replace a Fisher F-2 I had. That I really liked simple like this one for the noob . I wanted to step up to machine that would go deeper then the F-2 but after seeing this test, i don't see this machine worth the msp of $369 vs $200 of the F-2 , if that machine was tested out side with sensitivity of 9 how much more depth do you think it would add?
got one ordered last night thought for the price its not bad from what ive seen and the display is simple and not intimidating for beginners to the hobby
+crapper1 Nice! It is a great beginner machine. One tip I can give you that will make life easier, is to lock the ground tracking when you set the machine down to recover an object, then unlock if you want to when you resume searching. It is also a good idea to lock the ground tracking if you find a spot with a lot of trash targets. Just lock it in on clean ground, and detect away. This seems to help a lot with stability in really trashy spots. Good luck with your new machine!
+stacy4422 I haven't tried out the F44. I did notice it comes with a concentric coil vs the DD on the Whites. I'd check out videos on both and see what looks best for your conditions. Good luck!
The Treasure Pro feels really light and well balanced. The kicker for me is the Beach Mode. This is a very nice feature that comes in handy when it's vacation time :)
Hi Brandon Galindo, I`m really happy with this machine. Very good and reliable, depth is awesome but the main thing you have to listen the sound very important that's how I`ve found good stuff. Have Fun...:)
Paulo Portocarrero Thanks very much for the response!! I've been spending the last few weeks trying to decide through many models, and am going with this! Finally made my decision! Have you had it in the rain, being weatherproof and all? Thanks again!
that detector sounds like a tesoro cibola, the only thing i could find was my car with that one, nothing but junk is all i ever found with newer tesoro's,years ago i had an analog tesoro treasure scout and found an 1877 quarter in a park 8 or 10 inches down, funny thing was the detector in air would only go 5 maybe 6 inches.
Doughnutchef,.. after a bunch of rain and a lightning storm,.. the ground is charged,.. at that time any detector can go deep and find things. So if there's rain and no lightning make your own,.... drive a piece of metal in the ground the run a wire from the stake to your plug wire on a mower or a motorcycle. Then look for things.
I haven' been able to test on anything much smaller than what you see in the video. I, sure it will pick them up fine, but I would not expect to get them very deep, . I would think it should pick them up fine at 4 or five inches, maybe a bit deeper. I need to start putting some small hammered in my tests. Thanks for watching!
Define starter detector? any starter detector only goes about 3 inches deep lol I owned a whites mx sport and they go deep and accurate. this one seems to do the same. to say it is a starter detector is not true. this is for advanced and real relic hunters. sorry it bugs me when people say starter detector. would you give your kid a $500 metal detector bc I know I wouldn't. Whites is great in general for a fair price. if you want a starter detector get a bounty hunter. But this machine seemed to do just as good as the MX sport. When people say starter detector they think crappy metal detectors. only bc someone who buys a $4000 machine is the greatest, not true at all. there are more negative in high priced detectors than there is in normal range priced metal detectors. So being said, for the real relic seekers buy this!
