Yes, that is the same hat. Steve used to wear it regularly, not just in the Oh Sherrie video. Steve said that he had written many songs while he was gone all those years, and this album contains many of them. He said that is why he named it Traces, because it is full of traces. Steve said that this song has dual meaning, and one of those meanings is about the love that he and his fans have for each other. When Steve finally came back in 2018, the first thing he said to all of his fans was, "I know it's been a long time comin'."
The song is about a high school reunion and the memories of past rekindled. Time may continue to move forward but memories of the old are etched in ones mind forever. So it's No Erasin those memories and that person you once knew and loved.
You need to react to the STRONG OUT video from Steve’s Perry’s album Street Talk. So awesome and haven’t seen anyone react to it. The song deserves attention is Steve on his prime rocking it.
Hey Phillip! Great reaction. Keep them coming! Did you see the “Perry spin”? And that iconic hat??? It’s the same hat...my friend. Check out “oh Sherrie” original video. 1984. 😎 Steve is so amazing!!! I will be his greatest fan always.
Check out, In the rain from Traces and Winds of March by Journey. Just subscribed, great reaction. Journey and his solo career is a very long rabbit hole.
@@wendyhowe2178 You should check out the PBS Soundstage from Chicago 1978 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gyA6oFMuqLA.html , Nearly an hour long. They do most of the tunes from Infinity, Including a great live version of "Winds Of March", and in the middle Albert King and other players sit in with them and they do some really cool blues numbers. Believe me, you will love it.
Thanks so much for reacting to this. This was from 2018, Steve was 69 and still going strong. Steve's first solo work in 25 years and his first recordings since the 1996 album with Journey. Please do "Most Of All" from this same album. And Please do "Winds Of March" from Journey's first album with Steve, (Infinity 1978). Oh and "Only For A Moment Girl" a song he donated to the USA for Africa Album 1985. Thanks and God Bless.
25 years is a long break wow.. i have already done the reaction for ' we're still here' pls check my previous videos on the channel..i am yet to do 'most of all' three other people have already requested..please subscribe to the channel for more reactions from Steve Perry..thanks
She's right. The hat was the same from oh Sherrie. She was his girlfriend back in the 80s. Her name was Sherrie Stafford. It's a great song. He took a break from Journey to pursue a solo album. A lot of great songs from his solo career and so much more from Journey. Not a bad song with Journey. You could just pick one off any album and it's great
@@PhiliminizzyReacts Yes he did. I feel so bad for him that he never married. The woman he said that was his soul mate was the reason for the album traces. She died of breast cancer. He knew she was in advanced stages of it when he met her. He stayed with her, supported her, and comforted her til the day she passed. I think they were together for about a year but he loved her so unconditionally. You should read about his relationship with her. He just seems like an unbelievable great person
Can you please react to John Taylor bass player of Duran Duran with a song and video called Losing You? It's on youtube. Also he has Immortal and Feelings Are Good. Yes he can sing too! He did four solo albums! One other song of his was I Do What I Do for a movie called 9 1/2 weeks. He got a big hit with that.
Journey is still touring, but not with Steve Perry..they have alot of different singers, but STEVE PERRY is the best. Nobody really wants to hear any other singers, but Steve Perry. Much love to you and your family 💕Brandi Modrak 💕❤
