You are so right it's actually scary. I'm 37 with a twin brother who is a Narc and I finally had to cut ties completely. It's been 6 months, but I couldn't do it anymore. Nothing I did was ever good enough, and I mean ever and always treated like shit. I'm 6'4 260lbs man, and would never deal with that bs from anyone else, but I took it from him. Could feel my energy just being zapped, like being around a dark cloud. Anyways, sorry for the rant. Thank you for sharing this content. It helps so many of us.

Ive been walking away from Narcissistic ppl since i was 17 i had the strength to walk away and not look back. Fast forward 22 years and now i have what i call the 12 week patterns week 3, 6 & 12 show you who someone really is as we can all pretend to be better but week 3 the cracks appear then again at week 6 and by 12 who they really are is no longer possible to hide. People can pretend well but pattern's never lie

The parent holds my grandchildren over my head. My child supports that parent over me. I have cut myself down to one day a week w my gc but am asked to do much more. I am standing strong and saying no to everything except my 1 day w my gc. I've asked both parents not to speak to me about anything EXCEPT the children. Have I still given away my power? I don't want my gc to grow up thinking this life they're in is normal.

Wow! Amazing! I have been watching alot of videos like these and yours best describes all of the last 30 years I have known him. It really describes our on again off again relationship describes myself too and I have finally had enough and finally strong enough to walk away. Adding up everything he has ever told me about his childhood his abandonment issues his screaming fits and I always thought if I gave him enough love he would change but you are right take take take and when I did stand up for myself he just got louder and meaner. Now we are separated we were still talking as friends but I cut him off recently because I just saw the whole cycle starting over again wanting me on a shelf over here when he wants to get more supply from someone else. It is horrible never ending cycle and I realized I am better than that. Love the video thanks! And you tell it like it is! Now I am just after survivor truth 😊

You described my extreme taker ex dead on. Now it makes sense on why he hurt me so badly. I walked away but he still killed me mentally.

I've been asking myself for over a year now if I'm the "narcissist" because of how I've been taught to see myself by my family of origin and my soon to be ex (thank God🙏) I've been accused by him of being the extreme taker because he was supposedly so good to me. I've recently learned that what he was doing to me was love bombing me. I had so many mixed messages from him. One second I would be judged and criticized for everything I said or did then the next day I would be told how beautiful I am. I stopped believing anything positive he said because there was more negative said. He blames for everything. I know I made mistakes and have my own toxic traits, which I'm dealing with in therapy. I haven't felt like I mattered in our 26 year marriage. I moved out 4 1/2 months ago. The other day, for the first time ever, I was able to say I'm proud of myself. I burst into tears after I said it and realized what I said.

I've realized that falling on your face and being the only one to pick yourself up...be alone for a long time...that heals many wounds from different behaviors etc

I'm starting to wonder if I'm a narcissist kinda sounds like me I'd like to figure it out and work past it I don't want to be that way. Thanks for this video

When i was 6 i asked her 'why do you always hurt me, lash out at me when ive done nothing wrong?' She told me 'we always hurt the ones we love the most (because they are closest to us)' That didnt sound right to me, but i made myself accept it as truth, she was the adult, what did i know?

I get what ur saying and agree...but much easier said than done to leave...especially when ur a stay at home mom homeschooling 3 young children...with no income (he works)...have a cat sanctuary, have no friends or family in any position to help...i cant just up and leave and he knows this and uses it against me...he refuses to change and refuses to leave...i feel like were hostages in our own home...14 1/2yrs dealing with this...i feel my hands are tied constantly struggling and very alone and lonely...i feel horrible and like a failure to my children and animals for choosing him and falling for his BS love bombing in the beginning and trusting him...now we all suffer....
