It's just image control. When a narcissist acts happy they're often at their most miserable.

They keep trying to make new friends so they can used them. Cause the old friends know how they are.

They dont want to change they like what they do.

They have to pretend to be happy, so they can make everyone else think it was your fault that the relationship didn't work out, their happy when they get a new (toy)victim, because they became bored with the old (toy) victim. They will repeat the same thing, its a Super charge to their ego, when they meet a new(toy) like a energizer battery 🔋 until they drain the battery 🔋 their on to their next unsuspecting victim (toy).

My Son said his mommy is always faking that she's happy. She's a Narc and we just recently divorced. I told him i know...she's will never be happy. Not even with the new person she left me for.

Deep down a narcissist is riddled with shame and is miserable...but he has sacrificed his true feelings and self to serve his false social self as a false idol replacing God and turning his false self into the altar the true self is sacrificed to!

This is excellent! It explains so much of my ex’s behavior. They absolutely only live for the moment, and their “plans” are never successful. You almost have to feel sorry for them - but not sorry enough to go back to their sh*t! They are nothing but train wrecks constantly happening, and it’s never their fault.

Wow. Quinn you’re so right. The creature I dealt with betrayed me so bad in the end. He’s the worst human being I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing. What’s so crazy is he has made so many attempts to reach me. He asked to see me and I declined. He then offered to pay me to see me and I was like wow. He knows there’s no second chance coming from me. He said how he was in a dark place when he and I were dealing with one another; he said how I was the only good thing in his life at that time, but he messed it up. It was all false. He was saying whatever he could in order to get me to commit to seeing him. He knows what he did and he did it all on purpose. He said drugs were the reason he did what he did, but he was too calculating for it to have been drugs. I wouldn’t piss on him if he were on fire. That man is the devil.

My narc went to church with me for five years, he seen how operated in the church, and on the sixth year we started to flirt. Me being green, didn't see the devil in him. I feel, hell Head Over Heels for him. Almost three years later and i'm beginning to see who he really is. I don't know why it took this long. Fake smiles are true. My narcissist face turned from smiling to the look of the devil then switched back smiling again. This is scary. My advice is to leave the fake person alone.

Speaking nothing but facts. On his social media he trying to convince the world he so in love when ive spoken to friends of his who are like yeah hes never gonna change he still doing the same shit & i knew it! He trying to pretend he a changed man got matching tattoos with this girl he only knows for a few months. Its a joke. Sadly better her than me, its her problem now.

The best feeling was hearing from the family and associates of the family that they knew he was the one at fault, and that he was stupid for everything he did. He left his own home because he didn't want to live with what he did to me and moved in with the new supply. I learned that a lot of people saw how he was treating me and didn't like it and even spoke out against it in my absence. The vindication is an indescribable feeling.

I went back and listened to this again. You have no idea how much you have helped me. You have lifted me from the pits of hell. It’s been 5 months and the drama still continues. The hardest thing I think I have ever had to do is bite my tongue. I listen to total bullshit and can’t say anything, can’t defend myself of bogus accusations, and worse of all, getting my savings yanked out from under me which I lent him to help him, and now I get a list of the things he did for me as a “boyfriend” added up and subtracted from the money I lent him that he promised to pay back as soon as the house he was flipping sold....it sold and he made a sorry excuse why he couldn’t pay me back....just like that! Lesson learned is all I can say. It was for my kids college.

All they ever do is pretend, that's the basis of their entire lives. They have to keep up the pretense that they're happy to admit otherwise would show weakness in their eyes, and they will never own up to any type of failure or weakness. Constantly avoiding reality, that's the life of a narcissist in a nutshell.

Narcissists ARE happy in their dysfunction and they believe that their dysfunction is okay and NORMAL. Their world. Like aliens trying to blend in with humans - wired differently.

I have learned that I will never go back or deal with the Narcissist. I don't care what is on the table they are offering. They can't get enough, do enough or pay enough for me to be bothered. I gained strength by telling myself each day, "I am working on my body and soul so I don't have to go back to where I came from". The Narcissist has been helpful in my re-evolution. They are truly in my rearview mirror. Way down the road.

Summer about to go away. An entire year without the pig. I have no clue how or where he is since quarantine in.March. I think the foulness of the virus and the narc caused my isolation to be truly forced upon me. It's improving thank God.

Good advice, as always. They are so surprised when you say no. They cannot believe that you have the strength to walk away, and avoid their $#%$. What is also amazing is this behavior does not go away with age. A lot of them are this way well into their 60's, 70's and 80's. Older does not always mean wiser. Accept who they are and let it go.

They turn to alcohol and/or drugs. My ex liked to drink and had a prescription to xanax. Mine ended badly , she knows that bridge is burned forever.

She had migraine for 4 days prior to dumping me for the 3rd time.

I have learned that everything I have endured as a child of 2 Narcissistic Parent's is not my fault. After watching this I assume it is normal to feel sorry for my Parent's that they just couldn't be content. No one can make anyone else happy. You have to be happy with who you are. Faults and all.

These people were not narcissistic from birth. Let us remember that what happened to them gradually over time became worse to where they cannot be changed. I really feel bad for the narcissistic people because of what they have been through, and why they have become this way. I can't do a thorough forgiveness, because I have to stay no contact. Therefore I give it to God to forgive, and I pray for her salvation, believe it or not. The sinister evil things she did, and still does, through my children, and knowing absolutely 100% that she will never change, is truly spiritual warfare, that is better left to the ultimate one rein's in the abode of Heaven.

I am a late listener to this video, but believe me when I say it is right on time for me. The narc I "befriended" is always pretending to be happy. He would start off every conversation with "HAPPY HOLIDAY"! It was odd to me, but I felt that if he feels that everyday is a holiday, then who am I to judge. When he calls and ask how I am doing I would say "I'm doing so great" or I’m so happy. He always responds with the exact same words!. Whatever I am, is what he is that day. I never once heard him say that he felt down, unhappy, etc. But I would quietly access what I knew about his life and current situation and would think "there is no way in the world you can be this happy with the mess your life is in". His accomplishments at 72 years old is…3 failed marriages, children that have very little to do with him, basically homeless (he rents rooms in strangers homes month to month, is operating on income that is severely below poverty level, very few friends, family that does not interact with or respect him. I’m not saying that a person in this predicament should be suicidal or severely depressed, but where does the happiness come from? He has nothing to show for his life, but he walks around with that plastic smile and fake persona 24/7

My wife of 12 years is exactly this she discarded me badly right before an operation told me she wasn’t happy and wanted a divorce so I got no closure our child is torn I was torn but I’ve went no contact and feel loads better now the love fuzz has gone I’ve been treat really badly and didn’t deserve it all I loved her so much and she repayed me with cheating and a bad discard !!!

My narc ex accused me.of being a narcissist lol. The second I learned about supply I knew I wasn't the narc. I dont need supply to function. He, however, definitely does. Funny ho the narcissist gives themself away like that with their projections.
