Right now it is hard for Russians unless they are trying to get political asylum. My wife is from Ukraine and when she got here it was easy for her because she came as a refugee 2 months after the war started. When she was in immigration's at the airport they treated her very kindly and respectfully but a Russian lady that was there planning on staying 2 weeks they treated like a leper and only gave her 1 week to stay!

Here in US with good to best credit rating interest rate in around 7%. My mortgage has been paid off for more than 20 years. When I did have one my interest rate was 3%. The good thing here in US is that for the first 7-10 years of your mortgage the interest is the most of the monthly payment. You can deduct that interest off your taxes. I wish you luck.

He and his family spend winters in Florida. Google 5 year mortgages … i think the rate is about 5% here which is much higher than prior years. Its a hot area here where I am for fast land sales even though its small towns and small cities here but a big one only 40 miles away, a 30 min drive on freeway. Where I grew up on the other side of the county is two or three towns thats quite racists. One mile from me people from India running a gas station. Then 4 miles down the road is a physical therapy place ran by those from India. The university 16 miles away is very diverse. A work visa or a visa for going to university here may be a try. We have the Amish and Mennonites here and 12 miles away another one of their settlements and 28 miles away another started. Their language is actually low German mixed with Swiss language, its not dutch language. Its two hours to Canada from me, the one bridge. I been across one way north into Canada and through the tunnel and bridge at another location. One to go on yet, once I decide to get enhanced drivers license otherwise need passport now. So much easier years ago with just a birth certificate and SS card or if drove then license. Last 10 years been stupid.

You might find Canada a better fit, and maybe talk to The Russian Dude who was in the US but is now living in Canada. Canada current immigration rules. Existing programs established under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations provide a path for Russians and Belarussians fleeing state persecution that would allow them to apply to come to Canada on a temporary or permanent basis.

Move to Vancouver, BC area or Vancouver Island very mild weather, rarely snows maybe 2-3 days of snow all winter, much like Seattle. Parts of the US are worse! We also have a few deserts! @@user-qj2bi3ph6p the Canadian mantra might as well be "born free, taxed to death". We pay dearly for the so-called free health care system. Our income is taxed when we earn it, and then it is taxed again when we spend it. There are some Canadians paying more than half their income in taxes. So, unless you want to become a tax slave, Canada is not the socialist Utopia that some Canadians pretend.

Dear Mr Sanctioned: I appreciate your sentiments about moving to America. I still think that the United States is the greatest country in the world and I think that you should be able to come here. You seem to be "wide eyed" in your assessment of the challenges you would face. I must ask if you know who Marjorie Taylor Green is? I just saw her on the Steve Banon show saying that she wanted to shut down the government because that is the best way to get the DOJ off of the back of what I consider to be the worst president in my substantial life of 73 years. I believe that since Reagan there has been a substantial effort to shut down the federal government. Sometime in the 70's there was a paper penned by someone on the "right" titled "starve the beast". It proposed that when the "right" was in control that they should spend our way into debt and that when the "left" was in control that they should shut it down. Leaving the left to be blamed for the eventual bankruptcy of our federal government. There is still hope that the ACTUAL system as outlined in our constitution that our founding fathers made will prevail. One of the things that needs to be straightened out is separation of Church and State. It seems that religion is being used as a governing tool all around the world. From what i can tell even your current leader has found "the calling" so to speak. I have no problem with religion when it deals with problems of the "spirit" instead of the problems of "power". For the first time I am actually concerned for your well being. I wish you only the best!

Here it depends on your credit rating and you would not have one established here. We refianced our land before and two times. We got lower each time. Went from 6.94% to 5.00% to 3.99%. We have excellent credit rating, ours was at 650 long ago first loan and at 760 to 780 now and even hit 800. We refuse to do the revolving credit crap anymore which they like to raise it. Long ago faster you paid loans higher the score, now its more you borrow constantly raises your credit score but you have to pay bills good also. Right now with good credit rating, fixed interest on a home is around 8% to 9% and bad credit you would not get a loan but with mid rating you be paying 12% to 14%. Houses have went sky high in price here and selling during covid but the sales are dropping now, so house prices been dropping for a year now. Save money and they will go lower next few years I think.

I wanted to share something with you as someone living in a Western country. Generally, obtaining a loan or mortgage from a bank can be challenging unless you are a permanent resident and likely possess assets such as a car or property. Otherwise, there is a concern that you might borrow the money and leave the country. The process of repayment can be complex, and banks often require individuals to establish a more stable presence, such as obtaining a permanent status, after spending several years in the country on a work visa, to be considered reliable by local banks.

I worry about you getting conscripted, and maybe being arrested for speaking out like that. Without any doubt, there is more opportunity in the U.S. than in Russia. But the U.S. is no picnic. Not only do you have to work hard, you have to be very lucky. I'm an American ex-pat who left the U.S. for Europe 30 years ago. I did it for many reasons; a few of which are affordable health care, better workers compensation, and a much less chance of getting shot by some mentally sick guy who can so easily buy an assault rifle. Believe me, I can tell you that emigrating to another country is very difficult. I wish I could offer you some good advice, but I don't know much about what's required to get into the U.S. I sincerely hope you can make it! America needs people like you!

Huh... not insane politics in Canada??? Remember freezing account to people protesting against some Policy inside Canada, Justin Trudå or what the heck his name is. That was and is insane in my opinion. And it's a free healthcare? You don't have to pay way more Taxes than in some of the States in the US, like Sales Tax 2% and income Tax I'm gonna bet is way lower then Canada. So Free health care I don't buy it. I'm from Norway and the free health care cost a lot, 25% Sales Tax and if you make more than 20 000 US Dollar it's 36% income Tax and if you make more than 55 000 US Dollars it's gonna be 46% in income Tax so that BS about free health care is a scam, it cost more than having a health insurance.

No free healthcare, only 2 weeks of paid holiday in most jobs, no paid paternity or maternity leave. What ever statistics you look at regarding US vs the rest of the west, mortality rate, quality and cost of utilities and services and cost of living in general, its not a place you would want to raise children put it like that. The only plus is they can own guns, but in no way is it 'land of the free' try crossing the road or go fishing, collect rain water etc and youll find out very quickly how it isnt very free.
