I was 14 when this came out. My best friend was 16 and had a Chevy blazer. We packed like 7 people in that, hid under a bunch of blankets and drove the drive in at the Swap Shop in South Florida to see this. Oh the memories!!

"Tout, tout through and about your callow life in dismay. Rentum osculum tormentum. A decade twice over a day." That's something I missed in the second film. The spells and language the Warlock would use in the first film were really engaging. It really helped to give him that "he does not belong here" sort of feeling that could be unsettling and threatening.

I love this series, met Julian fuckin Sands at a convention and he autographed my warlock poster. Very underrated series 👏

This is so random. My friend and I were visiting the college Oberlin in ‘93. Our host student took us to the 2 dollar movie and we watched this. One of the students said his cousin was Zach Galligan from Gremlins and then he freaked out because Zach has a quick cameo in this movie. I went to another college but Oberlin will always be associated with Warlock 2 for me.

A friend introduced me to this trilogy recently. I personally loved part 2 the most. It's so over-the-top and fun.

I still prefer the first movie, but this one was DAMN GOOD and Yeah... Julian Sands IS WHY IT WORKS!!!

This is one of my all time favorites. As a kid, seen it 200 or more times. 1 is good, 2 is amazing.

I fondly remember watching this super weird flick in the 90’s.

I liked the first two Warlock movies, but I don't think I ever watched the third. It just wouldn't be the same without Julian Sands.

Waxwork and Waxwork II: Lost in Time are definitely underrated, I watched them back in 2019 and I loved both movies. Heck maybe the sequel deserves a Black Sheep episode since it's been hated for its tone, I personally don't hate it, it reminds me of Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

I was so shocked to see him in the movie Rose Red.

Julian Sands knocks it so far out of the park in this movie that I didn't see him in anything after this until the final season (season 10) of Stargate-SG1 and the mere sight of him made my blood go cold and made me say "Oh f*ck!" out loud. There are only a small handful of actors whose performances actually made me scared of them. Sands in this and the first movie without question and the only other performance I can think of off hand is Eric DaRe when he played Leo Johnson in Twin Peaks. I met DaRe once and while he's a very nice man I was unnerved the entire time in his presence. I'm sure if I ever met Julian Sands I'd have the same reaction. That's when you know someone had a memorable performance.

Wishmaster vs warlock. Someone get on that.

This basically has the same plot as Avengers infinity war the villain has a mission that requires him to collect magic stones to complete the mission

Man, I fucking LOVED Julian Sands (I always thought he could’ve made a great Bond villain) back in the day haha. I watched a lot of his movies from around this same time period. Boxing Helena, anyone?? Lol! Btw, now that I remember Anthony Hickox made Waxwork 1 & 2, suddenly the (at the time for me) random cameo of Zach Galligan makes all the sense in the world.

I've always wanted to see this series rebooted and even though I've probably seen Sands in a hundred movies, for me, it's always "hey. it's the warlock!"

The first Warlock movie kind of has that Highlander feel. In the sense that it's just this quirky little movie that comes on the stage, does it's job, and it's done. Good, clean fun. The second one...Is way more epic! Anthony Hickox kind of gets thrown into this box by people who haven't seen a lot of his movies as the "guy that ruins franchises." But, if you watch his full body of work, his films go from being "that other Warlock movie" and "the bad Hellraiser flick" to good Anthony Hickox movies. I first became aware of him with Waxwork. Loved that movie! And when the sequel came out, I had to check it out as well. And it's way more of a good thing. Sundown was a bang-up vampire flick! Hellraiser III might not be a great Hellraiser, movie, but it's a solid Hickox outing! And Warlock: The Armageddon is just banging! Hickox reminds me of a mix of those 80's Italian directors mixed with Sam Raimi. He knows when he has a good actor and crew, and he'll use them over and over! It's always fun to see what each actor will be in his films. While he'll use the same people, they rarely play the same role. The sweet, magical goth girl in Warlock: The Armageddon, will play a drugged out bimbo in Hellraiser III. He might use the same folks, but resisted typecasting. And even used Bruce Campbell several times! I have always felt it's a shame that while Bruce has this cult following, so many of them don't know anything about these flicks! And, in a lot of ways, Warlock 2 is probably more recognized and liked than the original. It was a fairly big horror hit back in it's day. They Warlock movies just tend to be forgotten because of....That one that shouldn't exist. God, at least Julian Sands was smart enough to read the script and stay away from that one. One of the worst sequels in horror franchise history! Even the damned Wishmaster later sequels had a couple of good moments. But, at any rate, it's a shame that Hickox kind of got out of the directing limelight. Or maybe it's good. Because he left his fans wanting more! The man definitely didn't wear out his welcome!

I remember going to the video store when I was a kid and the clerk asking me if I was sure I wanted to rent this movie again, because I had already rented it several times. My answer was yes, of course. Later I caught the first movie playing on TV one night at around 3a.m and thought it was so weird, but still kinda cool as well. Julian Sands should've been a much more appraised actor if only he had gotten more relevant roles in better movies after his prime (which I consider to be this movie). When I think of the perfect powerful villain involved with "the occult", he's the first one that comes to mind. He infused his roles with such personality and mix of dark wit and cold-bloodedness that I've yet to see anyone match, and always delivered genuine performances. I was so upset with the "third" movie simply because if Julian Sands wasn't in it, it couldn't be good. And I was right.

Finally ! This film get some praise !! Warlock 2 and Hellraiser 3 are masterpieces.... Anthony Hickox was a very innovative in the 90's, and very good at making huge looking movies on a smaller budget

This was a great retrospective of a fun movie.

Julian 'fuckin' Sands' presence was up there with Alan 'fuckin' Rickman as Hans Gruber in Die Hard. May they both be resting peacefully.

Warlock 1 and 2 are the best! My favorite is still 1 but 2 takes it up a notch and is different. Sands chews it up and owns it, you can tell he is having a ton of fun as the Warlock. And yes.... Warlock 3 doesn't exist.... RIP Mr. Sands

I always saw Warlock: The Armageddon as more of a reboot rather than an actual sequel. It's kind of like Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance where you have the same actors playing the lead roles but the movies bare no connection to the first movies' characters and plots. If The Armageddon was to be a sequel, it wouldn't make sense when it comes to the timelines of both movies. However, I do like this movie as well as the first Warlock. It's always been something I would watch now and again.

holy crap..... I never thought id see that other people liked this film as much as I did.... having been fortunate enough (old enough lol) to have seen both Worlock films at the movies (yes the first film did play in theaters here in Australia in the late 80's) and I think I was the only one in the theater when the second one played..... but I loved it even if it's aged terribly

There is an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer where Willow turns to dark magic (“Villians”)and you can tell the writers were heavily influenced by this movie. Some of the scenes are almost identical.

Warlock is burned into my childhood hood memory...same vibe and feel as “the Prophecy” or “Wishmaster”....even the first “Leprechaun”....The early 90s had such a distinct vibe with these B-movie horror movies

RIP Julian Sands. You know they found his body in the California mountains. He was attacked by some wild animal. However he was very ill equipped to be climbing the mountains and he was dressed like a ninja.

Dude I just finished this movie. I got to say I was surprised to see Rob Paulson that’s a gas station attendant. Also the music playing during the end credits was turned all the way to 11 in the headbanging!!! 🤘🏽
