What is Two Being Healthy? Why did we start a blog all about CHRONIC and INVISIBLE ILLNESSES? Watch to find out :)
We're Em + Kate from the health and wellness blog Two Being Healthy. We're sisters who both deal with invisible and chronic illnesses: POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia), Lupus, EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), MCAD (Mast Cell Activation Disorder) to name but a few. We've gone through all the ups/downs of living with a variety of autoimmune and autonomic issues over the 10+ years and with that we've learned that, if something is inhibiting your health, every avenue towards improvement should be explored. In doing so, we've gained a passion for all things wellness and nutrition. Subscribe and follow us on our journey two being healthy!

What I find perplexing about some reactions to "invisible" diseases is, most diseases *are* invisible. I mean, you usually can't see cancer, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, etc, so why would rare diseases be any different? Yes, I have gotten the "you look fine" comment as well. Having spent years exercising, lifting weights, doing martial arts and a plethora of other things, my body looks sort of "Joe Bodybuilder". But due to severe MCAS, I basically only leave home to go to the doctors, and this has been for several years. Most peoples comments are well intended. They're trying to be reassuring, complimentary and supportive, but where I'm really confounded/amused is when people from the medical establishment say it....they should know better than anyone. Anyway, great post. :)
