Have you been successful in your career, but still don't feel happy? It can be disorienting when we expect success to make us happy, but then it doesn't. If you're successful, but not happy, I hope this video can help you to understand why it's not personal to you.
I want you to understand that your lack of happiness isn't because you're defective in some way. But, rather, success just can't create happiness because it can't remove any of beliefs or buried emotions that cause unhappiness.

Many people envy me as I am still young yet successful at this age. People tell I got success. But I never feel that way. What I have now is sort of leftover sadness. Life is no more exciting :/ thank you for the video.

I haven't watched it but I've saved it to watch when I actually become successful. Right now I'm unsuccessful + unhappy = miserable

Hi Noah I completely relate to this! I'm 41 and feel like my whole life I've been climbing a mountain and I'm finally at the summit. I feel like instead of enjoying the view I need to climb another better mountain or one in which will be more socially acceptable and praised. I'm anxious about the future because I see others that have climbed more complex or popular mountains and I wonder if I didn't aim as high as I should have. I think societal and familial expectations are powerful and can make someone doubt their own path in life. I'm learning to stay present, relax and enjoy my own personal view!

“Happiness is part of our nature.” Such a beautiful and comforting quote knowing that we don’t have to work hard to be happy, we can allow ourselves to be happy in the present. I appreciate listening to your wisdom and gentle voice. Plenty of times I ask myself when a difficult emotion arises”what would noah say?”I’ve never met you and it’s amazing how much of an impact someone can have on us without even meeting. Because our ego will never get fulfilled, no matter what are the ambitions or desires we chase. Our mind It is like a beggar - more it gets, more it wants. All we have to do, is to understand how the mind works. so we could drop the desires and calm the greedy mind. We should stay in present moment to feel happiness and bliss. Where to rush - we are already here! That's my personal advice. Love!

I mean a career is needed, money is essential if you want to have a family etc... Survival most come before happiness, do you not agree? I agree on sports though, it seems no matter how much they won in previous seasons they cant stop looking for more

If you don't already have success, it might be difficult for you to understand what I'm speaking about. Once your survival is already ensured, the next focus becomes on happiness.

Check out maslow's hierarchy of needs and you'll understand that yes you must first meet basic needs before you can realize self actualization and higher needs.
