Because it seems catchable unlike the high pass the receiver can calculate the probability of the balls trajectory and know that this is not interceptable
Well because if you are high balling you are throwing over the defender or above the defender so the defense has no chance to make a play at the ball but if you throw Normal passes when someone ain’t wide open it will get picked a lot cause you can’t throw through a defender
Only throw high balls against zone when you’re throwing a seam route or man when you’re throwing a corner route and you have a little bit of separation and you’re ahead of the defender. High balls are inconsistent though and on corner routes sometimes your QB will overthrow the route by 10 yards so don’t highball too much unless it’s one of the scenarios I mentioned, also, always press Y for the aggressive catch when highballing.
I mean if you have a good qb and strong arm strength you can thread the pass either way. You’d have to hold the rs button up and over to the left and it will get it there too
They are. On the first clip he’s on the right hash and the right safety is playing more toward the middle of the field. On the second clip he’s on the left hash so the safety has to space out. The first clip would work if he flipped the play and passed it to the same receiver
Honestly I never had a problem throwing in Madden once I learned the plays and know the routes without looking it was gameover watch for the open receivers and fling that pigskin
Gotta know how to pass mechanics in general . Sometimes you’ll have to throw it away from defenders or even touch pass it .. sometimes the bullet . But knowing when and why to throw each pass is most important
High balls are good but I feel like most peoples problem is they need to learn when to bullet vs lob/touch pass and how to not hold sprint as soon as the rb touches the ball
If you forget what he said I’ve also discovered on playstation you can press the stick forward simultaneously while pressing receiver button does basically the same thing you just have to know were the defender is
He's a better way to fix it time the throw better I have never had that issue it's mostly cause you take to long to throw it giving defender more time to get I'm coverage
In that 1st play, even if the ball had been thrown high, it was getting picked😏. Should've been a clip about what's perceived to be open, vs what's actually open.
Let me correct that “why madden sucks at throwing the deep pass? Because it’s garbage, if you throw a perfect pass expect a pick and that’s why you suck at madden”
As someone who has been using high passes for a couple of Maddens now, I can say that they're EXTREMELY helpful, although I've noticed recently that sometimes my QB switches to some sort of running mode maybe 1/15 trys, it's extremely annoying, idk what to do about it 💀
You can also free form pass and purposely over throw the receiver which in turn also works as a high pass. Plus doing it that way you also have more control over the exact trajectory of the ball and can put it mor to the left of the receiver thus making it difficult for the DB to even get to it.
Throwing a "deep" pass from the red zone might also be a problem. The safeties don't have to play 60 yards of field. Still, it's worth practicing to see if you can get high passes to work. I haven't tried it yet, but I will give it a go. If it improves my passing game, then I'll use it. Otherwise, it's a learning experience.
Exactly, my passing game sucks! There’s been many games where I just abandoned the pass altogether. My HB is always #1 in the league lol! But you gotta pass, it’s FOOTBALL for crying out loud! We’re here for the high flying action as well as the hard nosed pounding! I switch up teams every few seasons, and I must say passing is easier depending on the team, so that’s why I appreciate this video, I gotta get my skills up! I’m going to try it out today! Thanks ✊🏾
Everybody hates playing against ppl who spam the high jump. Madden 24 put a complete end to it. 😂 at least from what I’ve watched and read(ea madden channel) and it still seems like the dbs are teleporting out of nowhere as soon as the ball gets released but the high jump is just OP
Man's speaking truth all the haters are misinformed. Different ball trajectory, safties and corners can't cut in on a ball that isn't in the catchable radius so they are forced to play the reciever Inatead of the ball
Isn’t this where free-form passes come into play cause I’ve noticed using free form helps me complete passes that would otherwise be intercepted by defenders
