The key for me was/is to have TOTAL EMOTIONAL CONTROL. AT ALL TIMES... Don't just fake it. Work on it. Every single day. Focus on the absolute best in you. Your greatest qualities. Your beliefs. Your goals. And (here's the thing) BE OK WITH THE BREAK UP... Knowing you are not just valuable but PRICELESS... It means TAKING ON THE VERY NATURE OF ONE WHO IS POISED, RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTED, GOOD LOOKING, and MOST OF ALL HAS AS MANY OPTIONS AS YOU WANT... It will be HARD... Real hard... Daya Tom I think your awesome I’m sorry that he’s not coming around, the best thing you can do, is hit the gym, take yourself out to eat with friends take photos of it and post it on social media, the quickest way to get a guys attention that loves you, is show yourself having fun as if he never existed. Mine put a I'm at the movies with my gems means her 2 younger boys. This was during no communication, 3 weeks before that when we did communicate she never posted going movies with the boys. So I sense it's an attempt to get me to reach out. Oh trust me it's so hard and hurts so much not to just talk like bloody adults

@@Amonix In retrospect, I was mostly the problem (I'm an alcoholic) it had been a turbulent few years. He would dump me regularly. Then I started doing the 'no contact' route (making sure I wished him well and thus leaving a route back to him in future as there was less chance I'd be blocked) Everyone's situation is different but I can say that 'no contact' works. It's a 'shot to nothing' as they say. We are still together and I've sobered up now. I hope things work out well for you x

Alice InChristchurch thank you for the answer Alice, for me it is different she dumped me because she were thinking I cheated on her and she was insecure, I tried to prove her everytime that I could that I was clean, after she dumped me it was a rollercoaster of emotions from her, from insults to feeling sorry, then she block me on Instagram and WhatsApp , she unblock on WhatsApp 2 times (still block on Instagram) and she felt bad to block me, after 1 week I called her and told her I missed her and I realized that we did a lot of mistakes etc, she said it was over for her and that she wants to vomit if she see me again, the day after this she blocked me again after I changed my profile pic on WhatsApp, telling me that I don't have to prove her anything while changing my profile pic. 5 days later after she party with alcohol guys and fake people she unblock me tried to call me and sended me messages where she said let's stay friends good vibes etc etc, I told her that I'll bring her stuff back she agreed we met up the next day for 1h30 and I told her I was okay with the breakup I feel good and blablabla ... when we got back to my car I gave her stuff and then she suddenly hug me and start crying hard, I kissed her neck and head and it was an intense moment... she then left in tears, I went out of my car to go back to her and she just told me "I'm sure you come back, leave me alone you want to manipulate me you don't respect the fact I wanna be alone now etc..." I left, same night I told her that It was good to see her and we can stay in peace she can unblock me on Instagram we are fine, she said she felt good to see me but she could not unblock me on Instagram now we need more distance but after a while she will, I said okay and told her I like her and I want her to be happy, she said ok bye. After 10 days where I could see her friends checking on my Instagram stories etc... I decided to send my ultimate message, I don't wanted to play mind game and I told her that I'm working on myself, that I lover her and I will give her the space she need and I will work on to give her the security she needs to be with me, if she give us a chance. I even offered to pay for therapy if she wanted to work on herself aswell, I told also that I don't except anything from her and sent my love... she just answered that it was good to know that I work on myself and she wished me all the best. After this I'm feeling free because I played my last card while being real and telling her my real feelings. I'm still blocked on Instagram but not WhatsApp I didn't answered, but sometimes her friends check my Instagram and I don't think it's a coincidence, anyway I'm having new friends I'm going at the gym I'm feeling good, I'm just sad that she didn't gave another chance because I really loved her and never cheated on her.

@@Amonix I really feel for what you've been through. You sound like a really good person. You have taken the mature route and you're definitely doing the right thing by looking after yourself. If you don't mind me saying, it sounds like there could be something much deeper going on with your ex. If not BPD then at least deep insecurity/immaturity. The fact you returned her things, offered to pay for her therapy and such, is a testament to what a kind, loving person you are. You deserve someone special and I really hope you find them. Life can be a bittersweet journey but I truly believe there is a plan for us and there is true love. As for social media, it can slow down the healing. Only you can decide if you would take her back, should she try, but by checking the Instagram/what's app, it's like poking at a wound with a stick. I have been guilty of this too. Should you be the one to block, she may try to reach out - we want what we can't have, hence only you can decide. If she truly loved you, she'd find a way back. Though I feel like you are on your way to a sweeter path and happiness belongs to a beautiful soul like you. Love and light around you always x

Right... stay strong. Don't take the bait! She's just trying to get a reaction out of you. It's a control thing, a power play. After a few weeks or months of no contact, all of that anger will cool down. If she really thought you were that toxic, she wouldn't be texting you.

@@lifeisbeautiful3019 things are actually a LOT better. I have some resentment over last year, but we communicate better. I don’t view this as a game like some people do, I really did work on myself and realized I needed to get back to my hobbies and loving myself and things fell into place.

@@cyrusvanbeethoven4626 yeah i dont mind, well i stayed in no contact for 2 months like he sugested but she never broke no contact, i did and she was very welcoming you could almost feel the excitement when i said hi, but she tried to play it cool and we just talked like friends, and of course i never mentioned the relationship or even the idea of me getting back with her in fact i tried to stay busy, i would talk with her for a while and then say that i had to go somewhere and that i would talk to her later, and 3 or 4 hours later would tell her something that happend to me, it was about a week until we started talking about the relationship, she apologized for a lot of things and so did i, it was great and we got back together but when i started feeling like she didnt put any effort i broke it up again and focused on my self, if your in the same situation as i was i suggest you give it a shot, even if it didnt work out im glad i did it because ill never wonder what could have been

Just had to do a little update. I’m in a way better place now I can honestly say that. She is not the first,last and only thing I can think of each day. I know you have probably read and heard “it gets better” slogan from many people but it really does 💪 get your butt in the gym or work out at home. Don’t like weights? Do cardio or vice versa. Lifting weights helped me channel my roller coaster 🎢 of freakin emotions 😳 and making me look better in the process 😉 start a new hobby it the gym for s not for you. Bottom line is to stay busy ! Take up more of the time that is free now that your single. Is it still crappy and hard some days🤔 absolutely but again you will feel better eventually. Might never get over it fully but it’s a life experience and one door 🚪 closes but new one opens as they say. Lol. Stay strong 💪 and you got this.
