The worst thing is players keep getting kills with them because those planes are capable against an average air rb pilot, so they have decent stats and the br goes up, making the vehicle even worse. (Like what happened with the r2y)
Re.2005, good plane to clean up the swarms of F2G/P51H pilots that have no idea what their planes can actually do, and since you get a lot of 6v6 matches with 4 288 on your side, it's a nice challenge as opposed to flying whatever meta plane there is - and I play it quite a lot. But this shouldn't sit on 5.7 really. The first truly competent pilot in a 51H, F2G, or 4B is going to fuck your shit up. Too slow, loses a lot of energy in turns, cannot generate that energy back in any reasonable amount of time unless you can dive a little... but you can't do that forever. So, it's great to work your reversals, because that's going to be your main battle plan. It's fun, but you don't see many people play them really.
I think being a little bit over tiered doesn’t make the Italian planes bad, even at their higher tier they have a competitive flight performance and guns.
Yeah, they can still dogfight, but your potential to carry the match is a lot more limited. The Italian aircraft generally climb quite a bit slower than the top climbing aircraft of their Br, but you don't get an increase in speed to compensate for that. The F Mk IXc Spitfire (Br 4.3) is arguably one of the worst performing Spitfires in the game, but it still has similar performance to the G.55 Serie I Centauro at 5.0. Besides that the guns on the Centauro aren't an improvement for some over those on the Spitfire.
Great breakdown of the issue. Some of my fav planes are quite bad, I love playing them, but I won't ever call them great planes just cause I get one 5 kill game.
i however feel inside a loophole with the j5n1, i get constant 3 fighter kill games by plain dogfighting them at slow speed or basically pulling 10Gs onto their compressing airframes while I keep taking L's on the Ki83 despite it has great climb rate and high altitude dive speed, then i asked out ki83 expert friends to pit down my j5n1 vs their ki83 and the results were baffling: J5n1 ended up on top of the ki83 after some turns. It's amazing how energy retention really matters over climb rate or better turn and guns.
Thank god the Hunter F6 isn’t on this list, one of my favorite jets and easily the best 10.0. It’s a beast that takes true aggression to get used to, and I have a 6KB in it (4 sraams and 2 full commit headons)
That reminds me of when I flew the Blackburn Firebrand. I knew it was going to be a poor performer, yet I still managed to tangle with a P-63 and I got a 5 kill match in it. Long story short, your average War Thunder player is shit, especially Germany players at European prime time.
We have same opinion Many people dint realize "skill and plane peform" in other word we can say if you have decent skill u can make avery plane work. But doenst mean the plane is good to.
@@wongarnold2879 If all of that is so bad then how come the F4U-1C is one of the most enjoyable aircraft at that BR? How do I have a 2:1 KD in it when I don't even play for KD?
@@TaGF_Tomcat I am going to listed to defyn. Who is more knowledgeable and argues that the 1c is one of the worst 4.0 just like the f6f5n. The only redeeming factors is the guns and that’s it. You can only get kills by either pushing head ons or getting opportunistic frags. The same argument can also be used for the j21, which is dog poop.
Imho there is a difference between being bad and being not the best. Most of those planes are maybe not the best, but they are not really bad. They have several pros to them, as you listed, and easy of use is one of them. I would say that a bad plane is a plane that has literally nothing going for it. I'm gonna make a bit of a stretchy comparison just to give the idea: in theory in your average fps game the sniper rifle is in theory the best gun because it has the fastest ttk (1 bullet) but in practice using an assault rifle is gonna be easier and, at the end of the day, more effective, even if you need 4 bullets. It's the same in wt. I remember how broken was the cannonless mc205 and mc202 before they moved them up in br, they had really overpowered airframes for their br, but noone used them because of their very poor armament and because to really abuse them you had to have very good aim, patience and skill in energy fighting. In the hands of a skilled players, yes, they were truly powerful, but relatively speaking, they werent. So it really depends what you mean by "bad" or "good".
How is a plane that gets kills bad? Sure a good performing plane with bad guns is a good plane, but a poor performing plane with good guns gets the same amount of kills in normal battles and in real life use, making them equal all other factors constant. In a 1v1 with skilled players the better flight performance will prevail, but that is a very rare scenario.
Because the only get around the same results due to most of people being bad / average, as i said, it just lets newer players capitalize off of enemy mistakes easier, better players will still perform better in planes that are actually good.
