I just want to add that she initiated contact frequently. It's not that we didn't talk, I just not initiated contact. She gradually lost that dumpers arrogance, became more humble and then eventually became emotional, saying she misses me. So, she texted me, then 2days will pass, sometimes 5 days, 10 days.... But I held my ground, I didnt initiate contact.

@@Nimbus3690 in total we were separated roughly 10 weeks, so about 2.5 months. Don't count the days, just try to look ahead and build YOUR future. They'll come back eventually. If they don't, thats not a big deal, because you're building YOUR future.

Kyle Stewart yeah man. This is really hard. The girl I thought I was going to marry left me OUT OF NOWHERE. She started antidepressants and changed as a person. Became super disconnected. I fought for her for a couple weeks just getting my heart tore out and pushing her away further. Then I do no contact and implement all of coach Lee’s breakup kit and she reached out. We started talking again, hooked up, and it was “I love you, I missed you” etc etc super emotional, and then boom... back to her saying “I don’t want to be with you right now, maybe down the road but right now I don’t want you setting expectations” and then she pulls away, texts rarely, doesn’t offer to hangout etc. man I just can’t do it, it’s tearing my heart out and starting to become a major health concern. It’s 3 days now since I told her I can’t do this it’s not good for me, and she said well take all the time you need, I’m sad, but I understand. Man she’s just in a different place to where she could take or leave it, I am just not there. I’m still in love with her. So, anyway... I can’t stop thinking about other men being with her.

I really hope you see this and can help me out! I have been watching your videos like crazy for over a year now. I'll try to keep this short. June 2019 my ex broke up with me. I cried and begged for maybe 2 days. He is the one who insisted on friendship. He called and messaged me every day. So I never ignored him. We just became "friends with benefits" and finally 2 months ago he was talking about hanging out with one of his co workers (who is a female) and I just couldn't hold it in. I told him I still loved him and that I could not continue to be "friends" with him. He asked me if we could still talk every day. I said no because then we would just continue this cycle that we've been going through for the past year. I immediately went into no contact and he ended up coming to my house 5 weeks later with supplies because our town was affected by a fire. I was nice and polite and thanked him and we talked for about 30 minutes. Just about random things. Then I went straight back into no contact, and it has now been 3 weeks since we interacted. Anyway, I just want to know what your opinion and thoughts are.. do I still have a chance? Did I mess it all up by accepting "friendship" for almost a year?

Me too lol, I got broken up with last week and started using no contact and on Saturday she contacted me with “Heyyy, how are you?” We talked then it ended with nothing big, then on Monday she posted a picture on Instagram of herself with a caption “Your loss”, I don’t get how it’s my loss if I wanted us to stay together and I begged and texted me to why she was breaking up and to give me another chance but all she said was “I think it’s our time” and all this other bs like it’s not you it’s me and I need time. I think every relationship is going to have hardships and trials, but naturally it takes two to tango and if someone's still immature and unwilling to work through those hard times, they need to learn and mature and grow. Sadly, sometimes that requires the pain and hurt of a breakup. But like any rough moment in life, we can come out on top and become better people for it.

No offense but you're wrong! It's not a case of one or the other. No Contact WORKS FOR BOTH. Lee never said it works every time because nothing works every time. But when you're the one hurting, loving, aching, and wondering what happened and they're the one doing the leaving then NO CONTACT ABSOLUTELY DOES WORK better than any other approach. Namely because if you were the overly emotional one in the relationship it's a HUGE sign that you overinflated their ego while minimizing your own worth. NO CONTACT can be a very important shock to their system that jolts them back to the reality that YOU DON'T ACTUALLY NEED THEM to have meaning and purpose. It also recalibrates their own pompous delusional feeling of superiority that you likely played a huge role in building up for them by tolerating disrespect and making them the center of your rather empty universe. BUT when you go cold NO CONTACT you force them to suddenly be without a massive source of their own self-love - and you regain a large portion of your own dignity and self respect which not only makes the loss easier to endure - it makes you instantly more attractive to the other person who in many cases is learning that life without you and your constant worship isn't as easy as they imagined back when they were convincing themselves over time that they were way too good to be with someone as hopelessly pitifully in love with them as you were. Most of the cases when it doesn't work involves there being another person who was in reality the main motivation for them leaving to begin with regardless of what they told you at the time. Sometimes - not always - but sometimes when there is someone else it can take longer for the limerance to wear off the new relationship so No Contact might appear not to work - but in those cases - there was nothing you could have done anyway, but at least if you follow Lee's advice you'll have rebuilt some self-worth and be stronger and wiser next time. No offense - but you do no one any favors getting on here and making a comment about No Contact not working or not something you'd recommend. Because it's been proven to be the single best chance people have if there's any chance at all. Wish you the best of luck though.

I had the same suspicions as you that i made her feel very special yet she thought she deserved more: she thought she could get a man who would be head over heels to her and expected me to bring down the mountains for her. I tried to explain to her i'd do everything for her only if she reciprocates but to no avail. Finally she dumped me supposedly for another man. Idk if she lied r told the truth but i know for sure she is learning the hard way how good it was when i made her feel beautiful and happy and how miserable she is now. I was emotional and stated the fact that I didn't want the breakup for a couple of days but when she said that she didn't think she wanted to make a go of it I backed away. No begging or pleading, no late night phone calls or texts, I just walked away with her looking at me from the window waving me goodbye. It's been hard but I'm proud of myself for the way I have managed NC. I think she will have been missing me more for it and the way I see it is that I deserve better.

She went to a college in Ohio and i was in Maryland, im still in college and she just graduated, she had a loss of attraction towards me because i became very angry and rude towards her a lot due to my problems coping with learning I had crohns disease and was trying to overcome it. I really hope the stars align and she can see that I was in pain and worry for myself... It may be best we broke apart to begin a new book with each others, or it could just be another chapter on its way.

@@bullsfan6965 sure, so unfortunately after 10 weeks of no contact I had to break it because I had to get some of my things from her place which were pretty expensive lol. We did have a little chat catching up but nothing about the relationship. I know that she’s extremely busy and tired with university so I tried to keep it casual, It does suck breaking no contact cause it gets you thinking again and it puts you back as if you’ve just broken up. But I am doing better. kinda losing hope as time goes on but life is unpredictable so who knows what’ll happen between us. Again I don’t see us getting back anytime soon , she made that pretty clear. It feels like she doesn’t care about me anymore but that’s just the voice in my head messing with me. we knew each other since middle school and we do have mutual friends so we’ll definitely hangout together again but Idk how that will go lol. But I’m back into no contact and I don’t plan on messaging her first again, stay strong you do feel better as time goes on, you’ll have great days where you won’t think about them and you’ll have your low days where you’re heartbroken again but take it as a lesson and always improve yourself ✊🏽

Everyone that she was related to were so welcoming and caring to me, especially her mom. She said that i can stop by anytime at their place but I only did because I was with her. I truly want to apologize to her one last time but idk if i should. I begged and pleaded from July till September. I hurt her feelings and made her feel trapped. She said that she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore and I don’t either but i feel guilty man 😔 we will see each other again on thanksgiving.
