Ice bathing can be great against stress, though it really comes down to the individual. The same is with Iceman, it works for him but not everyone should do it. I am glad these two knows that they have to be careful if they are gonna try extreme stuff.

Yeah just because one person has found something that works personally does NOT mean it works for other people. If you want to protect against cold, get really fat. Or put on clothes. :)

To someone prone to heart attacks it can trigger a heart attack just like any intense activity would. But just like with regular exercise, cold therapy fights inflammation, increases blood circulation and prevents heart disease over the long term.

Sometimes I take a cold shower (around 8°C) in the early hours of the morning, then I put on shorts and a thin t-shirt and go walking in the rain in the fields at night. It's nice, I feel good.
@JessTarn

I practice his method, it has been life changing. When your body gets that cold you regress to cave man dna and everything becomes heightened. You dont shiver and hunch over but do the opposite, stand tall and be warm. People think they dont like the cold or dont do well in the cold so they arent interested and the opposite is true, this method makes you warm in the cold, not more cold. Yes some people with heart conditions should avoid intense rapid cold exposure, but try the breathing technique without the cold emersion and I bet you are able to hold your breath for three to four times longer within five minutes time. Watch one of his guided breathing vids and try if you arent sure.

Relatable for me. When I first descovered his technique videos through the try guys channel after only seeing him on TV for the Superhuman show, and Guinness as a kid, I had also stopped and done the breathing technique with them just for fun at first, but honestly still trying. I paused and held my breath after doing it for the time stated, I had gotten scared and started breathing again after 10 minutes, because I was surprised I wasn't even struggling at that point, proving it worked to me. Used it on a cruise to Hawaii recently in life when snorkeling in Captain Cook's Cove, and I easily stayed under water looking decently close at the coral reefs and fish for between 5 to 15 minutes at a time. Kept going back up because of the current trying to push me too much towards the reef with maaany sea urchins, and looking down at the black abyss drop off to my right most the time lol. I nope out where no light starts shinning lol. I remember a quote from a fellow cruiser on the ship on the same excursion to the cove for snorkeling when I passed under them they told me was, "Oh hey look at that bright red fish! no wait.. that's *my name*." The cruise was for 2 weeks, so most of us knew each other by then from the casino, and were referring to my bright red tank top that I wore.

@@unityagar7385 Thats amazing. I think I have done maybe four minutes tops. I hear you with the abyss, I have a fear of deep water. Primal phobia. We love to be by the waterhole but at the same time we have millions of years of evolution where we feared teeth in the deep. Thanks for sharing
