I'm just so stubborn when I argue and I can't prevent my emotions from flowing. And also anyone have any tips on how to not cry during arguments? Literally 1 min into arguing, tears start 😂😂
@christina4413
@christina4413 Год назад
Seven years later... I too have this "problem". It's not really a problem but it sure feels like one. My guess is tears come due to the rapid emotional flood one feels when they find themselves suddenly vulnerable as well as (possibly) confronted or put on the spot. I find it's more effective when I stick it out, I do my best to reign in the water-works and say what I feel I need to say and push through the tears. Whether you and I are the only ones blubbering does not matter much so long as we are being true to our self and speaking our side of the matter at hand.

I alway fight or better yet argue like this. I always ask questions, make sure I do not offend them, act as a neutral party. I even say, I have an issue with that idea. I guess I have always been doing this right. Even though I alway feel as if my brother who goes for more of the aggressive approach, wins more arguments.

Thanks for your thoughts. Often our real motive is that we want someone to see our point of view. The challenge does come into play when we feel that we know we are right. But that certainty needs to be conveyed in the right way. Thanks Matt, good advice. : ) --Megan

Please make a video on how to be more charismatic. Or about how people have a "way" that attracts people to them. I would love your take on that.
@ClaudiaSanchezQuintero
@ClaudiaSanchezQuintero 4 года назад
Amara Filo Jist be more positive, honest, respectful, and generous. But most importantly find ways to feel good like genuinely feel good and you will radiate positive energy. Love yourself and show others love, no judgement, not criticism and no confrontation. Be kind and also follow everything in this video. You will definitely attract more wonderful people into your life and the ones who may not be so good, will show you their good side too.
@spellywelly

@@ClaudiaSanchezQuintero Echo all of that. The ‘recipe’ for charisma according to I-don’t-remember-the-author is personal power, presence and warmth. Which essentially encapsulates everything you wrote above!

Great video! what an important topic. Definitely comes up in a marriage. We must keep the overall objective in mind with someone. If we want to keep a loving relationship & communicate more effectively, then we should hear them, & be respectful. For me, I think a lot like my twin sister, but if we have a real difference in thinking, we try to hear each other (well, most of the time) & move on if needed, to preserve our relationship. Two people will not always agree on everything, but it is best to keep the COMMUNICATION LINES OPEN so the relationship can be saved. Tell the other person you love them (unless they are a stranger). A KEY is remembering this in the moment. To stop, breathe, and remember the overall goal. To think & respond, and not just react. : ) Megan

I want to say that I have watched a lot of dating advice videos from different coaches and you by far stand out the most to me because not only do you give the advice but you also give an example. A lot of coaches will say do this but then don't give an example. I then question myself and say ok well how am I suppose to do that?

Very good video! Honestly if everyone argued like this, there would be less hurt feelings and everyone would be happier. Sometimes keeping impersonal is really hard because the other person mocks you or tries to hit soft spots! A guy I was talking to said he noticed I share feminist articles on social media and asked if I was feminist. I said yes, and he LAUGHED at me! He's said so many sexist things before which I've tried discussing with him but that was the last straw and I felt really hurt. After he stopped laughing he said "explain yourself" and giggled the moment I opened my mouth. Well, I just shut up. There is no use wasting breath on someone who clearly isn't listening.
