In the last Machines Simulator version you can manage the logic of a wind turbine, taking into account the following conditions:
- Control of the head to always be oriented towards the wind (YAW Control). Use the digital outputs to rotate the head. By reading the analog signal of the encoder position, you will know the current position of the head. Note that, to protect the cables, only two full turns of the head in both directions are allowed. If it is exceeded, an alarm signal will be activated indicating that it is no longer possible to continue turning.
- The direction of the wind is read by means of an electronic vane and the force by one anemometer.
- Control the angle of rotation of the blades to capture more or less wind (PITCH Control). Angles range from 0 to 90 degrees. O degrees is the flag position where there is no resistance to the wind and the blades do not rotate. 45 degrees offers minimal wind resistance and allows the turbine to turn with little wind force. 90 is the maximum intake and allows the turbine to rotate at maximum speed and power.
- If wind Speed is lower than 6m/s place the blades in a 45 degrees position to offer the less wind resistance and start to move.
The nominal power value that the wind turbine can generate is 120kW, Obtaining higher values can damage the system, so it is necessary to act on the PITCH control so that, depending on whether there is little or a lot of wind, the position of the blades is adjusted to obtain the optimum power generation value in the different conditions.
To protect the system from strong winds, when the wind force exceeds 25m/s, the blades must be placed in the flag position (0 degrees) and the brake activated to block the blades.
Use the Wind Turbine Monitoring graph to check the power generated is always optimal and does not exceed the nominal (120kW)
You can simulate the wind direction and speed pressing the screen direction & speed buttons.

me parece impresionante las nuevas escenas que has creado, espero poder automatizar pronto el aerogenerador. Un software muy recomendado Machine Simulator.
