the fact that she escaped and crawled up that hill is a testament to her will to live, what ever demons she went through she found the courage to fight that on the brink of death and told herself she would survive. One hell of a determination.

Amen. My hope is that everyone who feels that desperate finds that courage, determination and will to live, that spirit of survival. I personally know what it's like to feel hopeless and want to end your life. It's so amazing that she found that strength within her, which to me, indicates that she was not alone...something greater and more powerful than us was with her down in that ravine and lifted her up and pushed her up that hill. That's my belief anyway. I don't think it was just adrenaline because I doubt adrenaline "superpower" would last as long as she did. It was an unseen hand.

I dug a little deeper and found out she was 64yrs old at the time. 64! So she had tumbled/flipped down a 300ft ravine, stayed in her car for 5 days (probably with no food or water), with broken ribs and a broken sternum, took two days to climb up the 300ft ravine, and then was found by a biker at just the right time. God was absolutely watching over her, she has a longer life to live❤️ she is definitely a strong woman.

With the way things are, there are more and more people falling into deep depressions. Understand, you are not alone. Make the call , talk with someone. The rest of you, learn the signs, if someone close to you shows signs of depression, dispaire or despondence. Do everything thing you can to get that person to a doctor. Rob, i understand what you mean and i support that, but i don´t like that term "temporary". If you have never suffered from *decades* with depression ( and loneliness ), and i sure hope that you NEVER do, you can´t really understand what that does to a human being. Suicidal thoughts, in most cases, are not just a thing that comes from one day to another, except when people face a serious traumatic experience, which is a different case and cause, are most likely a long time thing, months, years, even decades. "Don't let a temporary feeling end a beautiful existence". Trust me, the existence / life of a severely depressed person is not beautiful. At all. There is no life, no joy, no energy, no hope, in many cases no love. It is literally only existing, not living or feeling alive. In a TED Talk years ago, Andrew Solomon said something very good and on point: "The opposite of depression is not happiness, but vitality." You literally feel dead, empty inside. Over a *long* time.

@@slcncr I have been and am currently under care for depression. I have seen the depths and heard the call to end it. I have sat on the edge looking down hoping for the darkness to swallow me whole. I have gone to bed with the intention of never waking up. The thing is that moment (or hour, or day, or week or year!) that I wanted death passed. If you are suicidal day and night you seriously need help and no youtube video or comment will fix it. I was just pointing out that its not a permanent thing until you make it one.

How come the door is battered in but the windows aren't broken? Only one wheel (front right) is slightly out but the rest are still straight. How? Why was there long branches placed on top of the car like its being covered? How did she get out and crawl up that hill after a HUGE accident? Should the head of the car be facing that direction if she flipped without touching the log on the ground? Do you think the local news will do an interview with the lady to find out more? A big thanks to HeavyD and crew for helping this family in crisis. I have been helping my wife with her severe bi-polar depression for 40+ years now, but had absolutely no clue about depression prior to meeting her. What the average person who is never exposed to depression often does not understand is that in many cases, a person suffering a manic depressive low is experiencing extreme physical pain. Most of you have awakened at night to a muscle cramp in your thigh…..imagine every muscle in your body doing that at the same time….for hours. On top of that physical pain, you also believe that every person on the planet hates you and wants you dead. It is a private hell where you believe death has got to be better than this. This is a situation that a box of candy or a couple of good beers won’t help. The people close to the depressed person must recognize the symptoms and get this person professional help. Medication controls the symptoms that lead to that dark place of excruciating pain and suffering. Logic and reason have no power in this situation. I know this from 4 decades of dealing with this daily. I am no psychiatrist or psychologist, just a loving husband. Trust me….do not try to deal with depression of a friend of loved one on your own……seek professional help.

After surviving a rollover accident at work in a 5 ton water truck, I’ve been having a hard time trying to figure out why I didn’t die in my accident.. People tell me that it’s because it wasn’t my time or God has more important things for me to do.. But honestly I don’t know why and lately I’ve been in a fairly dark place in life.. But after watching this video and listening to what Dave said, i’m starting to see a little bit of light.. Thank you Dave for everything you guys do..

He was so broken 😞 so I understand why he went but there is so much openness now if he could have held on or reached out he had so much more joy coming into his life. We need to get this out there more, man, woman or child, its ok to talk about how you're feeling inside. We find it easy to tell people when we're physically unwell with someting like a cold or a bad back. The mind is just another part of the body and letting others know we're not feeling well mentally, for what ever reason, needs to be made perfectly acceptable and without any stigma. It is not a weakness and there is nothing wrong in asking for help. ITS GOOD TO TALK...

But who do you talk to?
@bmoneyktm
@bmoneyktm Год назад
It's not easy to talk about the pain inside your head.. it's completely different than having a cold or bad back. It's difficult to express the pain and suffering we have to endure everyday, and when we do, we are looked at as weak or not being normal.. I wish I could express what's on my mind and what I'm dealing with but I can only manage to do a post of how I'm feeling at times.. and even then everyone just ignores it or just says something to make them feel like they are helping. But it doesn't help, it just reenforces the fact that I do have something wrong inside... But thank you for what you said alot..

@markmundy3435 Год назад
@@robertbaker6012 we need to start tackling this in the early stages and be far more intune with the feelings of others. Catch it before it becomes a bigger problem where professional help is required, or facilitate that help if its that far down this dark road. We need a total mindset change within society and help remove the stigma and let everyone know that there is nothing wrong with mental health issues. Letting people, your family or friends, know how you're feeling and being receptive to what people are telling you, open up early and help. Mental health issues are as a rule a snowball effect starting small, this is where we need to get onboard, asking for help and helping out. We need to stop saying we're fine when we're not and doing it as soon as we feel things are getting to us. Clearly if someone is at the piont where dark thoughts are starting to creep in professional would be preferable, be we need for everyone to know, they don't need to do this alone and anyone can and will help. This is a societal problem and society must change and be there for everyone.

Regrettably when every day someone wakes up and can't solve the pain, death seems better than enduring the pain. There's a very thin line they walk at that point when they don't care about their life anymore. Fall to one side of the line and throw their life away, or fall to the other and hand their life to someone else to do what they want with it. Surrender can happen in the briefest of moments. Sometimes you just won't happen to be there to catch them. Sometimes you'll just never know you need to as it's well hidden.

So, I'm gonna go out on a limb and reveal, as someone who has dealt with suicidal thoughts for the last 35 years, such thoughts have very little to do with specific individuals. There's several things need to be understood. A) unlike the misconception of those who've never experienced them, such thoughts are not voluntary, nor do they happen for any specific reason. B) However, an event of some kind is just the catalyst to push someone to the point of taking action. C) Often, the only thing holding one back is, fear of pain and suffering, inconveniencing/causing anguish to others, and the primal instinct of survival. Not the perfect analogy, but think of it this way: you have a very stressful job, at some point, you quit or are fired from that job. Instantly, all the stress of responsibility of that job vaporizes. That's what suicide means. Literally all problems a person is dealing with end. It's freedom from everything. Even if there is nothing beyond death, all problems cease. Hope it helps for those wondering what may be going through the mind of someone who has committed suicide.

I hope the lady has a full recovery and gets well soon. How you guys step up to challenges and never back down is motivational, great work in all categories.

Sir. Can I compliment you and your crew on the way you handled this painful situation. Your words and actions all showed respect for the lady, not the BS that a lesser group of people may use to promote themselves. Job very well done.

I wish this lady the best. I think when people go missing the need to use drones more for these kinds of searches this technology could have found her sooner!
