@@johnrobertson7583thanks for telling everybody you have absolutely no clue what you are speaking on. You determine what your height for your stairs are going to be as well as the length and then you determine your rise over run but then after that there's a few other avenues that you can do to find the angles for your skirts and yes I've been using a speed square for this or framing square and a myriad of other tools since I was around 9 years old and I'm 37 now. So please don't speak on things that you're uneducated on and you're speaking to somebody who's been doing it for almost 30 years.
@@Jason-TheChad-Muska_circa1995 Only 37 and you’ve already mastered the language of the condescending boomer that can’t figure out why nobody wants to be around him.
The shit after the first cut isn't even the same piece.. plus it would have wasted about 1-2cm of wood. I also figured the length mattered here. But the technique still has its place
It's a shit job angles both top and bottom are the same and I've never seen before what about 2x2 bring it down and ain't oressure treated I would love e to see the wall plate cuts this is all wrong
Once you find the general rule , it becomes easy. The key in this cutting skill is" TRANSFER Of PARARELLINES " use any objects. it can be an offcut wood, set square or rulers to transfer the joining line on to your connecting timber. This method works for me I hope does it for you too
It might not be exactly 1.5" though, especially if dealing with existing lumber that's already there. This method also accounts for the angles, as the wall might not be perfectly straight.
You can actually see the gap on the notch as to why this is *not* the way to do it. It's close sure but you're marking at one height and then dropping down 2" to the ledger which means your notch is no longer square. But that's ok because there are structural problems that far outweigh that minor issue.
Jajaja y piensan que el tornillo entra así de fácil en el cemento ??? 😂 hay tornillos para todo y para todos , pero definitivamente aquí vendiste utilizar otro y otras técnicas de instalación de maderera en concreto
Lols, Phillips wood screw to toenail into concrete... No tape measure anywhere and still fncked up the scribe. Amazing skills where? Everything in this video was wrong.
For people who don’t know how to use or read a speed square, and or tape measure. When these people going to show you have to pre drill a hole in block walls with a concrete bit?
Excellent job cutting, but you don’t attach that to the CMU wall. You attach your ledger to the CMU using proper masonry anchors (screws or wedge) and you attach your framing member directly to the ledger.
